I woke up with double vision on New Years and have had it since. My eyesight is terrible and always has been. I got prism glasses around the end of January and they work great with no problems. The hospital claimed I don’t have Graves, MS, or diabetes. I’m hoping it goes away by itself but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. I’m having a hard time figuring out who to see as a specialist for this problem.

The only thing I can factor into this is I quit using Butane Hash Oil before New Years and was in the middle of a pro hormone cycle at the time of occurrence.

Hi there. Thanks for your comment. Not to be the bearer of bad news but prisms are not a fix but a bandaid. The that is why it “works great” initially but leaves the underlying condition unchanged. Now from experience, the individual ends up needing stronger prisms to keep things manageable. And while that might be easy for the prescribing Doc, it really stinks for the patient, as it actually means your vision is getting worse and not better. There is a causal factor that is likely not considered as the blurred vision is only the effect. Now as to who to see about this? Dr Steinhauer and our clinic has helped many in similar situations and we invite you to schedule an online consultation with her to discuss your case or you can browse the many prism videos on this channel and maybe read the comments that others have left about their prism predicament. But if you would like to skip that and just consult with her directly, you may do so at www.visionforlifeworks.com. Thanks for your comment and looking forward to seeing you on the schedule!

Have monocular vertical diplopia caused by ptosis droop creasing the cornea making a wrinkle that disrupts the image. Glasses don't work because the warped cornea is after the glasses lens. I think this has become permanent as it's been going on for years but up til recently would progress from perfect, normal vision in the morning until bedtime when the double effect renders detail vision impossible. Now it's there from wake up onward. Ptosis surgery to shorten the eyelid? More surgery to repair the cornea?

What about blood pressure medicine does that cause blurry vision sometimes in morning
@visontherapy11 ай бұрын
That could also be a mitigating factor. Even the HBP for which the medication is prescribed could be an issue.

@@brighton59 one simply theory would be neurological shock as some people are more sensitive to certain things than others. DV can occur for some people from even a sudden stressful episode where they go to bed and then wake up with it. Yes. Keep me updated. We may be able to help if it persists and there isn’t any other explanation for it.

I had double vision for a month right after the first Moderna vaccine, in 20121. Now, in 2024, I have suddenly the same symptom. What could this be?
@visontherapy10 ай бұрын
I would suggest you get an MRI first to ensure that the brain is good and there isnt something like swelling. Once that is ruled out you can look at an optical cause-solution to what may be strabismus

About 10 years ago, I woke up and started seeing a doubling. The doctor said it was a migraine. For about 2 years my right eye started to run inside, the left is healthy, in the right there is a defect -0.75. It was found to be an adult's strabismus. And I'm afraid it's something else. How to convince doctors to further examination? brain scan? feels that I am not taken seriously.

I have had double vision twice in the last 2 months right after waking up suddenly from my alarm? It last about 15 seconds at most then back to normal no issues other then the abrupt wake up? Could that just be my eyes adjusting quickly? No other symptoms
