I'm a traditional Catholic and enjoy this content as well. I find that traditional Catholicism and Orthodox tend to agree more than not in matters of theology. There are also some Orthodox that are in communion with the Roman Catholic Church, such as the Maronites. Someday I hope we find some way to all come into communion with one another.

The fact that I was beset upon by enemies tells me that my Protestant baptism gave me no guardian angel. Yet there are spiritual beings roundabout me whose presence are noticeable although subtle - then those must be DEMONS lurking around waiting to snatch my soul. 😱

@@isabeedemski3635 Our Lord did reveal in Mt. 18:10 that the babes have angels watching over them; but whether the angels remain with the children through puberty, through sins committed in life, and up till the moment of death -- is pure speculation though, even by the church fathers. For example, majority (~99.9%) of those who gave accounts of near-death experiences (NDE) do not describe seeing angels; their spirits either travelled alone to the other side (sometimes guided by a light or felt presence of Jesus), or they were dragged down to hell by shadowy figures (demons).

Such great info and am important reminder to help send our children off to school/college reminding them that they are not alone but have their guardian angel close by to protect them as long as call upon him and look to be close to God!

What about children, who have not yet reached the age of accountability? Also, how does the guardian angel guard us against demonic forces? Why is it that sometimes, the evil spirit takes over a person’s life? Thank you for this teaching ❤

Some time due to love marriage 💞, non christian boy / girl get baptized for tha sake of their partner to get Christian marriage. What about that boy / girl who got baptized for their partners who dont have complete faith in Jesus, but accept Jesus as one of their God ... Do they have guardian angles as they got baptized?

Oh btw this begs the question: what becomes of the guardian angels whose charges end up in hell for eternity? If they don't get new 'assignments' then I guess they retire? I think it's a topic best kept within the bounds of Scripture (the Anunciation, Daniel, Tobit, etc.)

Question!! Our priest did not baptize my husband and I because we came from Protestant to orthodox in our seventies and we were baptized in the Protestant church so the priest said we did not have to be baptized again !!! This greatly troubled me !! Makes me feel incomplete!! Like I’m not important enough to be baptized!! 😢

I understand your frustration and situation bc I was relieved by chrismation only too, but not knowing better I accepted the priest suggestion. What I can say is that all of the modern saints will say and have said you are a orthodox christian. However, our reception was not proper and the priest and bishops that allowed this will have to answer for this error.

That's fine. It's up to the priest. Submit yourself to the priest. I was baptized into an Orthodox church a few months ago because I wasn't baptized prior coming from a protestant church. It gets rid of ancestral sin and you are born again. You can't be born again again. Chrismation is plenty and blesses you into the church. Learn to submit to the priests!!

Submit to the guidance of the priest is all well and good when they are following the Holy Fathers. This topic has been addressed in the book reception of the heterodox by uncut mountain press. It's basically a book quoting the Holy Fathers and saints of our day.
