"Famed" wood worker, designer, educator James Krenov said that if he had a choice of only two power tools to have in his shop it would be: 1. Band Saw 2. Jointer. I have two... a 14 " Powermatic with a riser and a Jet 18 inch.

There shouldn't be any drift on a decent saw that's been set up properly. The problem is usually an improperly tensioned blade or a cheap saw. The spine of the saw is critical. It has to be extremely stiff, which takes a lot of steel so that it doesn't flex under the tension of the blade.

of course it is most useful tool (if the maker gave it it to you for free to do presentation) . Like the gentleman above said he used it twice. If you do finicky art design then it might be useful, for sure

The majority of these re-branded power tools come from the same manufacturer. I will never buy another Grizzly product.. ever. They sent me 3 defective tools out of three in the same order. I called, described the defects..none of these were usable. They agreed I could return them. I paid shipping to me and shipping back to them. I was issued a credit minus 20%. They made no mention of that in our several phone calls. I said that is not ethical, these are design, material and workmanship flaws. I did not return them for some frivolous reason such as not liking the tool color. They refuse to budge. It cost me $300 not to own their substandard, unusable trash. Substandard, unprofessional "customer service". They are on my list of companies with whom I will never do business again.. SawStop/Festool Grizzly.
