I am on my second featherweight vest and fourth eVest overall. The two things I like about the featherweight is 1) it's lightweight so I don't get too hot or too cold (can layer if too cold) and 2) if it gets dirty, I can wash it in the bathroom sink and hang it up overnight to dry.

Love your videos. I bought a ScotteVest in 2012 for a trip to Europe and I still use it, still looks good. Mine had a pocket for an iPod and one for an 🆔, at the time those pockets had a plastic that eventually cracked. I don’t think they make them like that anymore, it looks like they now use a mesh. But other than that , 12 years later is still going strong, so it’s worth every penny and it still has plenty “pockets”.

I got the rfid vest and on my first time using it, I was still at the airport of my city when I noticed one of the pockets on the left got a hole in it. I was furious because the vest wasnt cheap and it already got a hole and I havent even left the airport yet. I called the company and sent them pictures. They were apologetic saying its manufacture defect etc. They ended up sending me another vest. Now, I have two😊

Youz guyz are too much! Thanks for the humor infused review. I’ve thought about getting one of these vests, but can’t seem to get off the fence and do it. Ni modo. I like having a lot of pockets, but I have to be really consistent about what I put in which pocket or I go thru that whole “feeling around for whatever I’m looking for, unzip a pocket, nope, not there, zip it up, repeat ad nauseam” process. Oh, I was able to get the ladies "QUEST vest half price on April fools day. I had bought a jacket, and it was not large enough for me, when I loaded it up. So I used this opportunity to get a larger size. It had pockets on the outside of the vest, in addition to the handwarmer pockets. It was great for airline, train, taxi, and tourist travel! Great review!

You sold me. Really, though, I've seen many videos on this brand and you guys brought it home to the everyday person. I don't wanna look bulky. Layering is brilliant. Is it a pocket? Great! Cute dancing in the street. So fun. I've also looked at these for a very long time. You have convinced me, thanks! Happy Vestivus! Lol - "you're like an advent calendar" One last thing... On A--z-n, there is a negative comment that I'm not sure was covered in this fun video. It has to do with being lopsided when stuff is in the pockets. The fabric feels nice and without anything in the pockets, the vest wears nicely and looks somewhat tailored. It was a little heavier than expected, I have another many-pocket vest that has more mesh and less fabric. I think this one would be too hot to ever wear in the warmer months, and by fall I'll be wearing my down vest. However, the real downfall of this vest is the location, size and shape of the pockets. And, the pockets are what I'm most interested in. I love having chest pockets and often have to order mens version of clothes to get them. Ideally, there would be at least one upper chest pocket inside where I like to keep my wallet for security, but there are no chest high inner pockets. The RFID pocket inside is lower down and inside another pocket making it hard to get a wallet in and out. I do like exterior chest pockets for quick access to things like car keys or change, but the two pockets you can see in the picture fall an inch or two lower on my body. The fit may work better on a tall lady, but not on someone 5'5". I would also like these pockets to open at the top instead of the sides so stuff wouldn't fall out as easily. The really big interior pocket inside is nice and roomy. I tried it out and I could manage to get an IPAD into it, though the vest was then so heavy and hung down awkwardly on that side so I couldn't imagine ever actually wearing it to carry around an IPAD. This large pocket was also on the same side as the exterior pocket with the water bottle loop meaning that anything big you want to carry inside has to be on the same side as the water bottle resulting in an uneven balance of stuff on the two sides. Also, once you put anything into any of the interior pockets, the neat tailored look of the vest is gone and you just look lumpy. Bottom line, this just didn't work for me.

Thanks for watching! It can look bulky and lumpy if you overstuff the pockets, but that happens with any other jacket, too. We've never had issues with things feeling off balance. For everyday wear, we've never had the bulk issue.

I have loved ScotteVest since 2010 and washed it all the time. Still going strong. Only broke on the front zipper and maybe washed and put in the dryer.. the chest pocket just ripped. Other than that.. still go on❤️

I have the SCOTTeVEST windbreaker and it was sooooo worth it. When you're worried about weight limits, problem solved. It has a hoodie, a pick pocket nightmare 🎉, and let's me be hands free with or without a back pack.

This was a great review! I've been looking at these vests for many *many* years. I was intrigued by the pockets, but I'm not a vest person, I don't like things up around my neck, and the price *really* put me off, so this review was perfect for me. I have been on the verge of buying one for *ages* now, and was considering it for my upcoming trip. However, it's to Europe in the hot days of August....so maybe I'll put off buying it a little while longer. At half the price it would be a no-brainer. But nearly $200? Woof. Maybe I'll just stick with my inconvenient handbag. (I hate handbags).

I’m a huge fan of ScottEVest. I really dislike carrying a purse, I wear their Cargaux pants or vests as every day wear, not just when traveling. It becomes a habit so I always knows where I pack my edc items. I do agree that they have gotten overpriced in the past few years, but I’ve had my vest since 2016 and it’s held up very well. Get on their mailing list and watch for sales. It’s also advisable to upsize the vest.

Great vest. Good for security in the big cities ( I don’t like keeping my wallet/phone in my back pockets). But I travel light and try to keep those things in the inside pockets of my jackets/coats. Looks casual. ? Any plans to do the Camino Ingles? It’s such a short journey and good content. Would love to see that.

I'd have to say, just by the look of them, that the vest would annoy me. I really don't want to clink when I walk. I'm not young, and I really don't want the extra weight. Also, I have arthritis. I don't want to be twisting around trying to reach odd pockets. It seems awkward.

I'm 5'1" and wearing a size small. If you want more space for stuff, you can size up. Or if you have a larger bust size. I'm fairly petite, so the small works great for me.

I was looking at these lots of years ago, but I just don't travel nearly enough to justify the cost. If I ever get to retire to Spain and have more ability to travel around Europe, I may reconsider. What do you do when you're going through security with all of your electronics in your pockets? Do you just put the full vest in a bin, or do you have to empty all the pockets first?

Totally get that sentiment. For security, we put the full vest in a bin. It's way easier than emptying the pockets.

I have three of these vests. Black vests will bake you during the summer. Had to resort to khaki or off white colors. If you want to use the pockets for electronics like tablets or power banks, I would suggest getting the next size up so you can comfortably use the vest without looking like a stay puff marshmallow man…
