As an owner of a LightweightH6LXBrompton, I of course found some racks, short and longer, from titanium (Its fork and backframe is titanium from the factory), but I have lately ordered a more sturdy Aceoffix rack also. But I ride with a T-bag, which normally gives what I need of extra space.

It's interesting to hear... most people only use rear racks for touring but they can do so much more. Almost as Brompton is just a "Fun Bike" not a "Real Use Bike" or Daily use Tool. Bed frame? Grab a "Fahrer Berlin" Front basket and then combined with the rear rack, in one go you can transport an entire frame in pieces to the recycling ♻️ yard. 25kg microwave? Rear rack, if it's Original, don't worry. It will hold. 30kg is the max weight I carried on it. No damage on the bike until now. Old Mattress? Same deal, knife, cut in pieces and front basket and rear rack will carry all. 😂😅 depending on your size, you need to push because the seed maybe ... "occupied" Like i had last week with a carpet. Rolled up, hanging from the back over the seat and handlebar. Me pushing the bike. 🙂👍 Brompton = can't do, don't exist with it. Guess People are to afraid to brake it.

Joseph Kerousac Ezy wheels are well worth the up-grade and also the wheel extender adjacent to the front of the rack. Both are a massive improvement. You should do more back lane rides on your Brompton. A very pretty area.

You appear to have removed the rack since, did it break?. I have the identical rack in black it was much cheaper at around €38 inc delivery. It seems sturdy and the bolts supplied were plenty long enough.

Thanks for the Comments Chris. For everyday use use the front bag bracket so really only used it for touring (rugsack) so took it off until needed. Its still going strong.

I say this as a well wisher, by being all by yourself you could be at the mercy of criminals, who may want to rob people or may have homicidal tendencies. Such people are opportunistic and very impulsive. There have been many cases all across the world where campers were targeted even when they were in groups of 2 or sometime more, so being all by yourself is definitely risky. Please take this into account when you are all by yourself inremote areas for extended periods of time. God bless you. Best wishes from an Indian 🙏
