I hear from others that progesterone helps with sleep 💤😴

Removed my uterus a couple months ago tapered my progesterone. I hated it back on for good. makes me sleep like a bear and so much happier🤷🏻♀️. I don’t know how I don’t know why but getting off was bad for my moods and sleep.

What about the protection for the breast?.
@angelmartin3082 ай бұрын
Thank you for clarifying this in more detail because I have went round and round with my doctor who keeps trying to convince me that progesterone is protective and balancing the estrogen he prescribed! I had a hysterectomy I do not have a uterus, and I tried the progesterone in the past and it makes me groggy and sleepy and it seems to make me hold fluid! I feel better on just the estrogen! What I would like to know though is am I getting the same health benefits from using compounded biest as opposed to the patch?

I started HRT with estradiol and progesterone. I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago. Is it normal to start having colostrum leaking a month after being on it? I was highly puzzled why I having the feeling of "let down" and then had a tiny bit on my shirt.

If I’m talking HRT in a patch that has both estrogen and progesterone, how can I tell if my dosage is too high? Thank you

What risk does it decrease after you had a hysterectomy and use estrogen?. I am confused.

I was a bit confused at this explanation, too. As far as I understand, it can help decrease the risk of estrogen dominance and prevent the reoccurrence of endometriosis.

I have a family history of breast cancer(two aunts and my mom) and also my sister who passed awsy two years ago. I really like taking progesterone but my clinician is against it for the breast cancer risk. I take estrogen and would really like to be back on progesterone as it helps GREATLY with moods and sleep. Thoughts?

I have estrogen patch, but my doctor doesn't seem very concerned about my post menopause. I have never had testosterone checked, and I feel like I should have my level checked. Do you have any opinion on this? I have had a partial hysterectomy.
@KimberlySmith-ke4lf25 күн бұрын
Yes you should have your levels checked! And you find someone who seems to care what you are saying!❤

Sure you're an MD? Prometrium is NOT progesterone. It's an exogenous, synthetic hormone. I hope you actually do some research and start prescribing bio-identical, micronized progesterone along with estradiol patch to your patients whether they had a hysterectomy or not if they are menopausal. Medical board is going to be busy soon. So many "MD" on KZbin selling BS.
