I think "Heil Honey, I'm Home" is absolutely brilliant. It's not a parody of Hitler, it's a parody of sitcoms! The creators asked and answered an amazing question: what would happen if we took the classic sitcom formula, and built it around the most ridiculous possible choice for a main character? I think the idea is hilarious and they actually executed it really well, they perfectly captured the 1950's sitcom feel. I really hope the un-aired episodes get released!

R.E.M. were quite big by then. "Green" came out in 1988. I was in 8th grade and "Stand" was on the radio all the time, as was "Orange Crush". When I briefly tried to learn guitar in high school, "Orange Crush" was one of the songs I tried to play! 🙂 "Out of Time" came out in 1991, which was their biggest commercial breakthrough, but "Green" came very close.

Dream On was a staple of my childhood. I still maintain that show invented the reaction GIF

Dream On is an incredible show. It gets no love at all and isn’t available anywhere. It’s really sad that you can’t watch it.

The Hitler one seems insane, but of coarse the 60's hit show Hogan's Heroes was a comedy about a German concentration camp that somehow worked. i loved Get a Life!

Dream on was most definitely a classic. I was only 8, but my mom loved it. And get a life was one of those reckless fox series' we all watched.

Heil Honey didn't even finish airing. The broadcast was cut in the middle of the show after the station was innundated with phone calls complaining about it.

I was laughing the whole time when it aired. It worked for Hogan's Heroes.

Also; does anyone else think 'Get A Life' was kind of reminiscent of the cult-classic 80s-movie, 'Better Off Dead'? =\ =)

Dream on is how half the guys I know experience life. I had a friend who constantly referenced Caddyshack, so much that I proposed a bingo game where we took turns trying to get him to do whatever quotes were on your bingo card. And Star Trek TNG had Picard trapped with an alien captain who only spoke in analogies.

Maybe Chris Elliott played two paperboys, because I remember that show being called "Paperboy" 😅. Maybe it's because when this aired, GameBoy was still in retail and maybe I was just playing "Paperboy" at the same time.

Dream On was great. I have a very associative style of thinking, so I do sometimes randomly think of TV and movie lines.in my head.
