This dude reminds me of my paranoid schizophrenic mother who also has ocd, before she was on her meds. She was homeless living in her car for like 3 years, and during that time she got two different traumatic brain injuries that she incurred from random tweakers when she got pushed down some stairs. She used to go on and on about how people were out to get her and stuff, and weirdly enough she also had a close friend who ended up unaliving her 2 kids during a paranoid manic episode when she went off her meds. My mom was HELLA traumatized by the whole thing and it became a hyperfocus for her, especially when she was in a bad place in terms of her mental health. Really sad stuff.

He’s not trolling. A lot of his behavior and insights are actually something referred to as “clanging” - which is something people suffering from schizotypal disorders do. Clanging involves repeating chains of words that are related semantically or phonetically. The words may be strung together in a way that rhymes or alliterates, but the sentences may not make sense and may be situationally inappropriate. You can see an example of this @ 1:24 in the video - connecting the word “Hue” to “Human”. There’s another video where he talks about Star Wars and connects Anikan to “And I can”, “equal” to “Ezekiel” “C3P0” to “see the power of 3” and then connects 3 to the three major religions Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. The way his mind operates and the connections he makes are interesting don’t get me wrong but it frustrates me that a lot of people tend to portray Martin as a Sam Hyde-like master troll or something when it’s pretty obvious that he’s schizotypal..

About 4-5 years ago I knew someone that was kidnapped and murdered by members of MS-13. He was a friend of a friend. I remember leaving my other friends house at the same time as him and I offered him a ride back to his house. It was only about a 3- or 4-minute walk from my friend's house to his. I remember having this gut feeling that something was wrong, so I insisted on giving him a ride, but he still refused. That was the last time anyone saw him alive. He went missing after that and I remember saying to my friend "Not to worry" and that "He would show up eventually". Weeks later the police came back from their investigation, and they told my friend that they had found his body mutilated in the desert and that it was MS-13 that had done it. I used to have nightmares about it, and I still think about how I could have saved him if I had only just been more insistent.

The thing with Martin that makes him a story telling legend who blurs the lines between reality and fiction is that; Some of his stories are completely real, some of them he exaggerates a real story a little bit and the others are 100% fake. The reason this works so well is because you then get a story like the MS13 story which is clearly not true but it is fully possible that when he was in the marines he killed a drug lord (not saying this happened or didn't happen) and seeing how many of his crazy stories he shows proof of them being real it makes it extremely hard to discern which stories go to each category. Ontop of that hes just a funny guy with extremely entertaining content 💙 🎉❤

Back,id say 4-5 yrs ago i had the privilege of joining his Instagram live. We talked about classes of civilizations.
