This video truly stands out as the best I've come across about the R10! It perfectly addresses my concerns. I've seen other videos claiming the R10 is 90% as good as high-end simulators, especially in field or large indoor testing. The insight about Doppler radar technology potentially providing more accuracy with increased flying distance is fascinating. However, the point made about most users, like myself, using the R10 in limited spaces during the off-season is spot on. I've noticed a potential weak point in the R10 concerning the spin axis. I'm not saying it's a bad simulator, especially considering its price-it just can't compete with gear that's ten times more expensive.

Hi Chung, firstly, thank you for watching the video and commenting. Your commentary spot on. The Ron is still a fantastic unit for its price point. it just doesn’t deliver the proper spin numbers above all it makes the golfer look much better than they really are. Ironically, if you’re a handicap golfer, it probably can give you really good feedback, except for the small nuances in regards to knowing the difference between a slight fade and slight draw.. if you search the Internet, there are folks who claim that there is another connecter that’s been developed independently with side spin bias selectivity. I have a friend who we play online with and he uses it. His drives used to be mostly robotic in the past, but with this new interface, I do see balls going left and right more often as they probably should be for his playing level. Again, though you can’t beat hardware that simply measures sides spin, and actually can identify contact point on the club face plus approach angle or angle of attack.

Can you do a comparison between protee and skytrack +

Garmin is awesome for the money ! Vx a lot more expensive and camera based should be more accurate with spin . Vx and protee labs having quite a few software updates improving all the time . Like the putting on Vx and chipping a lot more reliable too than Garmin Had a couple of years with Garmin r10 and went for VX as upgrade very happy with it !

Totally agree

Where in Ontario are you located? I'm in the market for a overhead launch monitor and I'm looking at the VX and EyeXO. Was wondering what the ETA is for a delivery to Pickering, ON. Currently using a GC2, but I have a left in the family and looking for an upgrade that shows footage of the club hitting the ball. The Eye Mini Lite looks good, but it's a pain to move it back and forth.

Hi @paytonaspinall … just send me an email at info@leosgolf.com and I’ll be happy to talk to you about a VX launch monitor or a uneekor EXO. The VX are currently running 3 to 4 weeks in general.

Lots of variables the way you are hitting and where you place ball and line up the R10

Maybe you use regular golf ball and you do not use the latest Bluetooth connector which affect more to r10 spin axis.

Hi There.... Thanks for watching the video. I did use the Bluetooth connector and the issue with the R10 is that side spin is calculated without knowing the impact spot that the ball meets the club face at. Sometimes "Gear Affect" causes the ball to spin differently and the Garmin cannot account for this under any circumstance. It only sees the launch direction for x feet and can't "see" the actual spin direction, it uses an algorithm to best guess based on the launch angle left or right of centre. An example .. it is possible to launch a ball left of centre but have spin to the right or left. Depending on which spin direction it has, you get a draw/hook or fade/slice bias.
