Do You Trust Me? | Dreamsmp Animation

believe it or not, i actually started this animation when the lore was new, it took a while but i managed a small animation
I wanted tot do so much more with this animation but with going back to uni, i have been buried in work and have been struggling with time management. and this animation took a week longer than i wanted it too, but y'know its done now. ive looked at it so much that Im not the happiest with it.

I think Charlie looking side-to-side for a brief second was just a wonderful little detail, showing how excited and happy he was to know that someone, who what he’s known of, doesn’t trust anyone, except him. I feel like it made him feel special, y’know?

It's been 6 months and I am now coming back to DSMP animatics because of QSMP and I- This hurts to watch. It's so beautiful, the gentleness in DSMP!Quackity's eyes when he looks at DSMP!Slime but when Slime says that Quackity broke his own rule of trusting nobody... It scares me. It scares me because I know that this is what hurts, breaks, kills Quackity in the end - the fact that he, at the bottom of his heart, is good and trusting and loving. Slime made him a better person, led him back to his old self and... And I think that, if things had been different, Quackity could have finally found the happiness he always wanted, he deserved. With Slime by his side, as close friend, he could have laughed again, maybe reconnect with everyone he broke apart with, fixed things with his fiancees, old friends, even Wilbur. And all I can think of now is the fact that... Is the fact that QSMP is, in a way, exactly that. It's many of the people DSMP!Quackity used to care about, people he had a fallout with at some point... Except that they actually get a fresh start, mostly freed from who they used to be (at least for now). But some of their memories, feelings, distant as they are, stayed. QSMP!Quackity is careful to get close to people because he still carries the hurt of his former lives in his heart and yet... Yet he can't help but seek out the people he once was close with. After Tilín's passing, Quackity is quick to find solace in Wilbur's company. He, despite Slime being responsible for Tilín's death, spends time with him again, sees him as a friend. I don't think it's a coincidence that of all people he could put his trust in, it's these two... Please, for once, let them be happy. Let Quackity trusting people pay off, just for a bit...

SPOILERS: the "breakup" between Charlie and Quackity was so beyond heartbreaking because it's obvious that Quackity loved Charlie. He wouldn't have been willing to sacrifice himself to save him if he didn't. but in hindsight, Charlie killing Quackity and leaving him was best for Charlie because Quackity was not a good influence on him and he saw that he could be better, and wanted to be better. however that's not gonna stop me from loving what they had before Charlie died

This hurts. So much. You really got the expressions right, and if this is not accurate, I don't know what is. I just love Charlie's enthusiasm until he realised Quackity himself broke a rule, and Quackity knew too, so why break it for someone like him? The way Charlie tilted his eyes from side to side when he asked that question about trust, its like looking inside Quackity whether what he said is actually genuine or just another lie. But it was the truth, wasn't it? Quackity was willing to break his own rules because Charlie was special to him..and it hurts me so much that although they got closure in the end..it wasn't a happy ending.
