Do you use red or blue cards? // Advice for Magicians

Blue for me all day everyday! I love the contrast of the red and black of the face of the cards to the blue. The red backs seem to get muddled with the red faces to me. But actually if I'm not using bicycle cards, any color back is great as long as it's not red. I just love the contrast a different color gives visually...

I have personally used the green-backed elite DMC for years and no one has ever said or suspected anything about the deck. 😊👍

Honestly I just style my cards to my outfit. I use cards that’s re the same color as my accent color. When I do table hopping I honestly don’t care what color of bikes I use.

I have mentioned this before but different colors do stir different feelings in the human mind. This is used in marketing schema. Stores and websites use color schema to stimulate behaviors. Target uses red to stimulate you to grab and buy. You walk around and are stimulated by hunger and impulse. Walmart uses blue to make you calm your mind. You want to stay for a lengthy period of time in their store and shop around. For a deck of cards, I think it is just what suits you and your style.

Absolutely spot on. Context is key. It’s worth trying different stuff out to see what looks good and works best. I hadn’t even thought about where I could use my Avengers cards, but now I want to pop into the local comic shop and try some stuff :) Thank you!

Almost no one knows Bicycle cards as standard home playing cards outside the US.

Even with family in Europe I didn’t realize Bicycle is hard to find there, until someone pointed out they have to bring decks with them if they use gaffed cards! But honestly 99% of folks wouldn’t even think about what cards are being used unless they were overthinking IMO.
