How about strolling? How often do you go to change your set, how many do you take in your case? How do you carry your current set (pockets, holders...)? Thank you for your very informative videos, as you said, I have just found about your channel and there is some golden advice on here, hope it keeps growing cause you deserve it!

Maxime Gasc thanks so much man! I do plan to do a “Pocket management” video for strolling soon! As for what sets to perform, I usually do the same set at every table. I’ll maybe change it up a bit if people want an encore but for the most part it is the same 3-4 tricks at every table. This way you are not loaded up on pockets and have room for everything. I don’t bring my case when strolling but if you need extra space you can always bring some sort of holster or small carry bag. Check out the video called “Live at the Monday Night Jams” in my other videos playlist. You will see a holster for strolling there that may be helpful!

I dig that you’re the consummate professional, classic magician. A true oldschool ham-&-egger-the Kiké Hernández of workin-class magic. Plus, you’re down for helping & sharing w noobs. I give that a Gregg Turkington rating of 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿+🥤🥤! You’re all in, and that’s pretty f’in admirable. Love the channel, O’Brien 👍✌️

Great video. Here is a question for you. I believe you have said before you work in restaurants before or you still do. But my question for you is this what is your view on what you normally do at a restaurant? I have heard people say that they do a restaurant with one routine of about 3 or maybe four effects. But I have heard other people say they do restaurants with 3 different routines that each have 3 to 4 effects. So what is your thoughts? 1 routine or 3 routines or do you have a mix and mash of stuff?

vonbodan i want to minimise pocket space so I usually just do 2-3 effects per table. I have an additional encore effect ready to go in case I have time for 1 more. You should not be at A table for more than 5 minutes or you are going to get in the way of the servers. I’ll have a video on this soon!

@@OBrienMagic what about routines? I have heard people who say they do one routine of 3 effects for every table. My experience is I try to have about 3 routines of 3 effects of course one routine per table plus an encore effect if there is time. Mainly because I don't want to finish at one table to go to another table who may have watched me at the previous table and get the dreaded I seen that one .

Did you attach your stand directly to the case or how did you do that part?
@OBrienMagic
@OBrienMagic 5 жыл бұрын
The stand can be attached to the case with screws if you wanted. My stand is not at all attached. The case just sits on the stand.

Finding a place to record that is quite is very hard. There are constantly kids at home and when in public it is hard to be left alone. You have no idea how many times I try film and people will walk up and ask what I am doing. Lol
