@@mikurealjapanese You're amazing. AMAZING! I'm a little bit more of an experienced student and I still find your videos extremely helpful. Keep going, we love it, but don't burn yourself out.
You were born to be a teacher. The way you teach and the examples you give us is exactly the daily conversation. They are so useful. I can’t thank you enough for all your work. One day, I’ll send my comment to you in Japanese. I’m not confident YET.
I just want to say, these are super helpful. You explain them so well. Not to mention, you teach Japanese that people use more which is sooo nice. I had a basic understanding of school Japanese but then I hear people speak and I have no clue! I can’t form complex sentences yet but thank you soo much!!

Sensei, I'm having a doubt Which sentence is correct? 魚を食べたい? Or 魚を食べる? Because it has an object i.e. 魚。 And , is this formal sentence correct?:- 先生、魚はいかがですか? And what is the formal version of? みくも来る? And ゆみも食べる?

Hey Miku! Thanks for another great video. I have a small question: You know how you can ask someone to lend you a hand by saying 「手を貸してくれる?」 If you wanted to offer someone a hand with something, could you say 「手を貸してあげようか?」 or would that sounds a bit weird or rude? いつもありがとう!
@mikurealjapanese4 жыл бұрын
Good question !! People can understand you, but I wouldn’t use てあげようか?when I offer a help as てあげる is like “I will give you this action “ so it might sound a bit like you are talking down or you’re talking to a little kid.
@Nordzumu4 жыл бұрын
Is 「一緒に行こうか」also a way of saying "how about we go together?" or "wanna come with me"?
@ayu2274genki4 жыл бұрын
Krapho You are correct! I’m native Japanese. 😉
@ayu2274genki4 жыл бұрын
Simply Me If the question is 一緒に行こうか? then that means Shall we go together? because of the word 一緒に which means together. If the question is simply 行こうか? then that also means Shall we go together? if you are with someone else. weird? Lol because we often drop subject in every day conversation so the subject could mean both I or WE. But don’t worry! Contextually you would easily know which one is correct because you know who the person is talking to. By the way if you’re by yourself, you might wanna talk to yourself 行こっか? which kind of means Why don’t l just go?

I have to say there is a very confusing point in this video. At 6:38 you ask what '一緒に行こうか’ means, and explain what it means (do you want me to go with you?). But then go on to explain that '行こうか’ means 'shall I go for you?' So... these two explanations seem to contradict each other, and this is not explained. Could you explain this?
@50disney3 жыл бұрын
Im confuse in using 大丈夫。sometimes im using it as accepting their offer.😆 E.g. Japanese friend: " 手伝おうか." Me: "本当!?大丈夫。" So she did not help me😆 They know my japanese is bad. So sometimes their confuse in my answer.

any difference between "ikou ka?" to "ikimashou ka?"
@vincentgunawan14884 жыл бұрын
"ikimashouka" is the polite form "ikouka" is the simple form that we used to our friends so this is not used to our bosses or teachers or someone that we respect for but they have the same meanings.

could you say 写真取ろうか to strangers? as a tourist its a helpful phrase but would it be rude to someobody you dont know?
@SelcraigClimbs4 жыл бұрын
To strangers I would imagine that saying 「一緒に写真を撮ってもいいですか?」would be better Or informally - 「一緒に写真撮っていい?」 Also be careful with the word とる when writing. The kanji 取るis for when you are taking (getting) an item.撮る is for taking pictures.

It was very interesting video, but I'm not sure that "Do you want me to to something?" is a good translation for this grammar construction. The grammar topic was clear thanks to Japanese examples, but "Do you want me to do smth" sounds wrong, I suppose. I mean, when you make this question it is like reaskig. For instance, somebody is not glad to see you on his party and do everything to spoil your motto or something. And when you understand it you can ask "Do you want me to leave the party?". It is something irritating, when we want to know exactly what this person wants from you. It's not a help. Or "I want you to clean the room while I do the disches". It is a demand. May be English is not enought to show the real sense but anyway... :) But the video itself was super! みく先生、私たちのために頑張ってありがとうございます。
