There is a phrase that I like to use in everything in my life: "Even if we want to progress in life, we must love the life we have". And in my English learning journey, I've been facing many difficulties with this perfectionism complex. But I remember that phrase, and I tell myself: "Love the English you have at the moment, it'll improve in the future for sure. Just look behind and see where you got".

Maybe I don't want to be perfect in my English however, I do want to be a little bit more confident than I am right now so it might be awesome for me. Many thanks for sharing this powerful lesson.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not making any progress. I don't mean only in studying, but also in my life. But when I lose my routine, everything gets worse. I would like to be more proud of myself because I think that with self-confidence, you are automatically feeling better. But I really enjoy learning new things and these ups and downs just belong to the road to success. Thanks for this amazing lesson. It's important to think about it.

To my thinking, there will always be someone who's better, more confident, more skillful than you. The point is that you shouldn't concentrate on that too much. It's worth getting focused on what you've achieved so far!!! And what's even more important is to praise yourself for every little successful step you can take!!!

It was a nice lesson,Ethan.Well,I feel furious when I struggle with speaking English cz I've been learning English for a long time.I feel frustrated and feel like I shouldn't learn it anymore cz I can't speak it as perfectly as I want to.But I have a change of heart.Maybe I'm not able to do it now,but I gotta keep trying .Cz look,l've been learning English for a while, and if I give up now, then it doesn't make sense cz what was all my learning for?My advice is-keep trying, but NEVER GIVE UP.

Hi RealLife English! I realized something what can sound little strange, anyway I count it's true. We aren't able to speak as fluent as natives, as everyone who was born in US either in UK. I envy their accent, they both sound magnificent! That's how I see it. Last but not least, I fancy to reach a little perfection in speaking spot & also increase my listening skills.

Thank you for your fantastic lesson. Everyone speaks perfect than me and I didn't feel. I have a lot of hard work and dedication to do it than the other person. Sometimes I have regretted the energy and effort to make English improve but I can't achieve it though at the level.

My motivation leaves me when I see people who can speak and understand English better than me though it's their foreign language. And that is why I drop learning English from time to time. I'm not good at understanding fluent speech in English when I listen to English speach or music or try to wach films in English. My friends just laugh at me and tell me something like how stupid I am, they recommend me to stop learning though they don't know any foreign language.
