Thanks for the AMAZING shots of my causeway! I spent 7 years in Clearwater, forced out last year. I miss my " breakfast with the dolphins " at the causeway every Friday morning after work and sometimes Monday morning or Tuesday morning or ANY morning possible. It was Heaven! Now I can show my family why I'm so devastated and struggle to move on.😭

I have lived in Dunedin since the early 90's and coming from NYC this is paradise. I paid $107,000 for my house and made so many upgrades too many to list. Its over 1500 square feet and I could list it at 550,000 and sell it in a New York Minute, but, why would I? Its a dream come true to live here.

I watched a video on KZbin of Honeymoon Island. I want to live somewhere so I can visit this island often. It is beautiful I have had dreams about an island that looks just like it. I will do whatever it takes to live in Dunedin so I can be close to the island. Thank you for a most informative video on Dunedin! I have subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your videos!🏝

We just got back from a short stay in Dunedin while visiting friends who just moved to the Tampa area. It was a cute place to visit. We will probably stay there again sometime. I think it's great that they have unique shops in the downtown area. The beaches were beautiful except they have a real serious problem with the red tide or currents bringing dead fish from further south onto the shore up in Dunedin. Either way it did not make for a great beach experience. Right outside on the main road into downtown you can find all of the typical chains if you need something. We live in N.H. and Dunedin seemed like a Florida version of Portsmouth N.H. Our friends in Tampa said everywhere in Tampa is incredibly pricey and a bidding war. They said that Dunedin is particularly expensive.

I grew up in Dunedin when there was literally nothing to do except hit the Mall or 3 bars downtown. It is 100% a place to live more than a destination. Tourists just keep it lively, but they ultimately visit b/c the locals are unique.

I agree that it is a desirable place to live! Just too expensive for most people
@unusualnoise3 жыл бұрын
@@LivinginTampa Not sure who "most people" are but it sure seems that there is more demand than there is housing, so I don't believe it is much of a problem unless you can't afford what you desire...

As a new resident to the town, I absolutely love it here. It's crazy that so many things are changing to the town, ugly township building included lol.

A realtor who tells it like it is. Wow! Downtown Dunedin is charming, but in almost a Palm Beach kind of way. Ironically Palm Beach has a Starbucks on Worth Avenue. I think Clearwater especially near Highway 19 is more affordable, although not cheap.

Looks like a nice town! How is the Spring Hill area up in Hernando?
@LivinginTampa3 жыл бұрын
Spring Hill is a very interesting place to me. It has grown so quickly that it seems a little barren to me right now. If you want a smaller town feel and you like the rivers up that way, then it can be a really cool option. BUT if you have to work in Tampa, it is really far.

Can you recommend a similar city close by that’s not touristy but more affordable?
@LivinginTampa2 жыл бұрын
Sure! I'd recommend Oldsmar or anywhere in northern Pinellas County. Feel free to reach out for more specific recommendations based on your particular situation.

It's virtually impossible to find a nice residence for sale in that area, in addition to cost if something decent is available. Amazing place tho.

Been a resident for 13 years moved from the Midwest …. It’s old Florida…. Delightful in some areas, however the city does a horrible job in maintaining the boulevards and lawn in mediums ..lots of overgrowth and weeds … roads can’t handle the population growth , way too much traffic ….😭 but grateful to be by the water ..💕

Traffic in spots can definitely get bad, especially on highway 19. I agree though that the beach makes it totally worth it.

Where can l canoe and kayak in calm water in or around Dunedin ?
@LivinginTampa3 жыл бұрын
Here is a list I found of some of the best kayaking places around Dunedin. Truthfully I'm not quite sure which location will have the calmest water, but i'd call some of places on the list and see what they say in terms of water conditions! www.yelp.com/search?cflt=rafting&find_loc=Dunedin%2C+FL
