He was definitely intimidating in Galaxy though not as much in Odyssey. I honestly like the idea of an powerful, imposing Bowser. I think he could be made to be terrifying while retaining his fun side as well. It's a tricky balance but it can be done.

My favorite part about Bowser is that he is BOTH. Bowser can be absolutely bad-A and hilarious comic relief- sometimes even at once -and neither aspect contradicts each other. "Bowser's Inside Story" and most of the RPG games (excluding PM1), as far back as "Super Mario's RPG", explore his funny side. This is because Bowser is a well-developed,, well-written character with an actual personality. Jack Black is type cast for Bowser's personality. Bowser is overall bumbling, egotistical, and goofy, but that lighthearted personality masks the sheer prodigy and strategic genius that he is VERY capable of showing, like in PM1 and SMG1.
