Your seed starting series are absolutely my favorite! Very informative and inspiring. Thank you! I love gardening in all the stages, but I think seed starting is also one of my favorites! ❤

Thanks for the seed starting demonstration. The tips are valuable in that it’s hard won knowledge gained from experience in everything from soil temperature to date tracking to cold stratification. You did a wonderful job of organizing your presentation. Thank you for sharing.

Very interesting info. I am certainly looking forward to seeing the cacti results! Yes, watching all the Christmas movies already....not much else on except reruns ⚾️

Good information and a great reminder to check. I have been disappointed before when I pull seeds for spring planting and realize they needed stratification.

Hubby and I started our weekly Christmas movie night 2 weeks ago. Loved 'Meet Me Next Christmas.' Hubby never heard of Pentatonix til the movie and now he's updating his Christmas playlist this year 😂 Thanks for another helpful video.

I store all my seeds in the refrigerator in air tight container so I never worry about stratification. Interesting to see the foxglove, I never ended up growing any. Hollyhocks yes, even though you mention problems I never had rust or anything I could see on mine. I have a few mixed and growing including the black hollyhock.

Amanda, you should try out the "Seed Snail" method and see what you think. Have a look at the 2 KZbin videos by Kowalski Mountain. I am currently trialing this method for seed starting, but also as a "rescue" method for some very leggy pansy seedlings that I did not get into the light soon enough. This method uses less soil, takes up less space, and allows a deeper root system. I am using parchment paper folded into thirds for my backing. So far, so good.

Thanks Amanda, that was so informative! Have you ever tried winter sowing in your area? Is it better for colder zones? ☘️

I am getting very forgetful as I get older so I use my phone or ipad calendar to mark dates with a reminder to pop up when I need to check my seeds that I have in my fridge or outside. That way I can keep up with my timeline on my seeds. Out of sight, out of mind in my case! 😂

I enjoy your seed videos, always helpful and informative! On a previous vid you were looking at cast iron plants, wondering if there was a variegated one. There are& they are amazing! My favorite is more of a spotted one that is glorious. It is kind of new so I haven’t seen many in fact only one at a local Lowe’s. Not sure how y’all use this plant up there but Dow here in the Houston- Galveston area they are planted around our big old oaks. I have 3 very large, very old live oaks in our yard so I eventually want the spotted one to go around the one out front. Can’t wait for your next video.

Class is out already? My brain was just kicking in. LOL 😊. Looks like I need to check my seeds for rudbeckia and stratify. Maybe the reason for my seed failure. 🤔
