I really like the lights under the table. No space wasted. The reminder to have good air circulation is very important. Even slightly larger plants benefit from the gentle stress of moving air and will be stronger when they are planted outside.

Not so much related to your grow room but more about commradery on wedding anniversaries. This year, our anniversary is tomorrow, November 5th. I told my husband your story of a low-key celebration, knowing tomorrow will be a low-key 47th celebration for us. Funny, he said to me,"You should tell her how every anniversary we're usually raking leaves!" We live on a mostly wooded acre, and 47 years ago, I thought we'd have this lovely fall background for our wedding. The joke was on me, much of the leaves had fallen by the first week of November, which is why we're usually raking leaves all these years later!!🤭 Congratulations on your recent anniversary! 🥂 (Glad you took the day off videoing!)

Having a dedicated space is so awesome. We built a greenhouse/potting shed this year. It has made gardening so much easier, and I'll be able to propagate and grow on seedlings this winter. When you started talking about doing an inspiration wall, I got excited 😃 because I thought you were gonna say, You were gonna paint a garden mural on that wall. That would also be inspiring and pretty. I have a picture hanging on my refrigerator that is a forest with a wood path that curves then goes around a corner. I can be staring into this picture and get lost mentally. Because what ever is around that corner is up to you. Its your journey. Oh 😮 Im rambling, sorry. Sending you the pic in email.

We had no one this year. 😢 I guess we were lucky since several remaining kids are teenagers who tend to be mean. They have no guidance or boundaries from their parents. It's heartbreaking to watch. They should be happy and having fun ⚾️

My grow room is a closet 🙂. And I have a one side cabinet of my kitchen to use for gardening storage. Soil stays outside, in a big box.

I love your ingenuity! I was so impressed with your seed storage, that I’ve adopted that method too. It works out wonderfully as I can store seeds based on their family (e.g. brassicaceae) or season (e.g. cool season annuals). Thanks for the tour with explanation. So helpful for new gardeners. What type of lights you use on the tall metal shelf?

Great video! Loved seeing your entire space. My family room and grow room are in the basement and it's really hard trying to keep my seedlings warm since I have to turn the space heaters off each night. I might try some frost cloth this year to hold in some heat. I watch you every morning with my coffee. Keep up the great work!

Install curtains like the hospitals use to provide privacy around patient's bed. I think the track is attached to the ceiling. Check how the curtains are hung etc. Subscribed a long time ago & watch all episodes. Thank you

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but you can improve the lighting by painting the whole room white. The green walls do make it feel dark.

Yes it actually used to be all white but was so tough to keep clean which is why I painted it dark … I lean towards dark and moody tones because they make me feel safe and warm.
