WoW! Extremely instructive show off here! If i ever go Stage 2 ECU tune on my GTI Clubsport MK7 ill prob get this do88 & definetly be saving your video to watch later! 👍 Im Stage 1 BSR ECU now, and thinking of going Stage 2+ DSG tune by TVS Engineering! Iv been thinking if i should go Stage 2 ECU tune from them also, but im happy with BSR and theyr a big name (safe tuner), so we will see. Also TVS does not require you to have same ECU tune as them, for their DSG tune any ECU brand should work! Anyhow i see relability as the most important, so ill wait a bit & think a couple of times before making up my mind 🙂

thank you for the video. I have watched 4-5 of them and this is by far the easiest way and you don't have to drain out the cool and the expensive volkswagen / audi coolant.

Did you ever have to re calibrate your front radar sensor behind the grille since you unplugged it?

Not required, I've taken my grille+bumper off more than 10 times and the radar never posed an issue when driving afterwards

i doubt the volkswagen is this high tech, requiring calibration of a radar sensor.

@@MTLJack it is required to be calibrated, but I'm not sure what might trigger it. Possibly a crash or a replacement of the sensor.

Hey, just did this on my mk7.5 gti and i noticed my passenger side headlight is a bit lower (the red trim doesn't align - white/chrome one on the R). Any idea why? Haven't played with any alignment nuts (the big one that lets you change the headlight height, with a thin every long screw inside that holds everything -> should i try to use this one to raise the whole headlight from the insides?). Not sure anywhere else where the headlight can change its position. Thank you, very detailed video

​@emanueldumitru6477 I recently did my intercooler as well, and what I did, was I held up the headlight while it was still loose and then tightened the bolts on the fender side and have no fitment issues

But Remember stock location intercooler goes between radiator and condenser is a hot sandwich , What are you think?

this is the longest way to do it . follow humble mechanic video I had my stock Intercooler out in 30 mins ... probably could have had the whole job done in an hour

It may well be the longer of the two methods but if you don’t have a vacuum bleeder to refill your coolant afterwards removal from the front is going to be the best way.
