I just got mine at the end of Sept, and it also has a Timed Shutdown mode: with the light on, double-click *and hold* until it flashes once, then it will turn off automatically in 3 minutes. (Supposedly has 9 min option, but haven't figured out how to get that one working : )

Just bought two of these, we have a 2019 Ram 1500 limited, and a 2024 Cadillac lyriq sport 3 and I thought they would be the perfect dash cams, all things considered. But just before installing them, I thought "I wonder if "EV" will make any difference in the installation process" and started checking online and found this video! Makes total sense that given how the dash cam is wired to the car, it would Have an issue with tripping into park mode. Now that I see this video. Thank goodness I bought these from costco should be an easy return process. Now it's back to the grindstone of trying to find a pair of dash cams that work with EV. Thanks for sharing your experience. This is what youtube was really meant for in the first place...

You have to go in settings and drop voltage and see how it goes and keep dropping it until it doesn't go into parking mode

So you bought a dash cam thats made for a gas powered vehicle and installed it in an electric powered vehicle... and it doesn't work... Thats the problem, so now you are mad and disappointed.. That it doesn't work like its supposed to, maybe you should have contacted the dash cam company and asked, do you think that you're new dash cam will work in my new Kia EV. While auto mfg's are busy making new EV's all of the companies out there, that make after market items like dash cams, are not making accessories for EV's.... JUst sayin...

Quick tip for installing rubber hoses. Drench it in brake cleaner. Slides right on and evaporates leaving nothing behind ✌

ok awesome video but, NetGuard uses the space for a normal VPN which is a encrypted connection. It's not easy finding good videos that talk about this part. I was using Mullvad VPN but, now NetGuard had to take it's place to work. In my device settings I can tell the apps to not use wifi/camera ect. So, it's the same as NetGuard? Plus I now don't have my normal VPN on the phone. Am I understanding the trade off correctly or am I missing something?

You said the charger cord is the same for all Olights ,, that isn't true each style light has its own charger cord , they all are not the same , unless they changed something in the last little bit , so you may want to correct that in your video sir

I have one. I’ll keep using the aluminum trays/water pans, but instead of using the top rack I use two smaller racks from another grill.

I'm not sure why in the past, they did not try to drive the swashiplate directly with servo horns, as it is done today. why so much complicated linkages? were the servos less powerful back then?
