I no longer have kids at home but I love the wipes for that extra cleanness after each trip to the bathroom. Thanks, you did it again!!

When I make my wipes I usually remove the paper towel innard the brown harder paper in the beginning verses the end, which is super easy to do and on quality PT it is not over-glued and so this way I save a lot of good liquid, which would have been otherwise waisted if I had removed the inner roll at the end. I hope this helps everyone, including our good earth. And thank you for posting this awesome DIY video.

You're not considering ALL of the ingredients that are in them. The paper towel itself has bleach and who knows what else. Just keep that in mind when you say you know "all" the ingredients that go into your child because you don't. That's why I opt for cloth.
@RainbowGardens9 жыл бұрын
I did something similar when my kids were young. As they grew older, I found I still needed hand wipes. I use thick paper towels and Witch Hazel (my son has eczema) in a zip lock bag. It works great and soooo much less expensive than buying them.
@Scalvert9259 жыл бұрын
Do you do witch hazel as the only ingrrdient? I'm wanting to make some for my little one.
@RainbowGardens9 жыл бұрын
Scalvert925 Yes, I use Viva brand paper towels and TN Dickinson's Witch Hazel. It contains a small amount of alcohol, but I only use it for hand wipes. My son would break out if I used anything too strong.

just a little tip I got from I think, America'sTest Kitchen: when you sharpen your knives, especially with that type of sharpener, always keep it *away* from your food. or in this case, I'd think wet whipes. supposedly, little tiny pieces of the metal that we can't even see can get onto whatever is below the knife sharpening action. I'm certainly no expert so I have no idea how absolutely true that knife sharpening advice is, but I just wanted to pass it on! I love your videos and you have so many fabulous DIY tips and recipes! ♡-Sandi
@kylamarieeee9 жыл бұрын
+c. k. sandi I was taught in a culinary class that simply rinsing the knife off with water will prevent the spread of small pieces of metal :)
@cammieksandi9 жыл бұрын
Yes I think that's great advice - for sure want to rinse it when you're done. I meant the little bitty particles they say can fall onto your food, cutting board, etc. So the advice was like "sharpen it away from the food instead of right over the food so no particles fall onto it"

Knife sharpener, here: I always wash blades after sharpening them. The lubricants or oils used aren't food-safe, and it's best for ensuring that any microparticles do get removed (how many of us rinse our toast plate and get all the crumbs removed?)

I have made them before. They're great. I use just a little water, a squirt of body wash or shower gel, a squirt of baby oil, and have also added a squirt of witch hazel for it's healing properties for skin. I have even made anti-bacterial wipes for the hands and arms. I've put just a small dab of water, a couple splashes of rubbing alcohol, and couple splashes of witch hazel. It's great because it cleanses with just enough water & all liquids combined, kills germs with the rubbing alcohol, and conditions n treats skin w/ witch hazel.

I used your formula and put baby washcloths, you know, the smaller thinner ones into the container by folding them into halves and poured the solution over it and used it as a makeup remover. My favorite paper/kitchen towel for baby wipes is Viva. They are super soft lol I've also kept them in a gallon ziplock baggie. :) For the most part we use a similar solution in a squeeze bottle and squirt on a washcloth in the house if I choose or do not have any disposable wipes.

These wipes are great for everything! I like to use them for a number of things including my husband. These wipes can lift and remove grease and all sorts of stuff from your skin. My husband is a motorcycle technician and comes home covered in work. His hands are almost black with grease and grime but after a few wipes his hands are white and clean again.
