This really reminds me of when I was younger. I played tenor horn in a marching brass band. This was one of my favourites to play.

Lovely playing on the march. As someone who has played in many different marching bands, I always said that brass bands let themselves down on their uniform turn out, hair & random trousers everywhere, no hats. I have to say, that for the most part, a well turned out band & a credit to themselves.

Well brass bands arent primarily marching bands anymore so it makes sense for them not to have to wear hats etc. And every band i have seen at contests has had the correct uniform and very similar to this bands (except no hat 😂) so im not sure what you are on about.
