I don't like how she says she will only be selling the 'nice stuff' and the other clothes are going to be donated. Don't people who benefit from donations deserve 'nice stuff' too? Donating doesn't equal ugly clothes, that otherwise you will just be throwing away. Even people who can't afford to buy clothes have the right to choose. Even people who live on the outside of life, marginalised, should have the right to choose. Dignity comes from the right to choose, it shouldn't come from settling for whatever you are forced to accept. Of course it doesn't all come down to her single action, but words matter, and actions too. Edit: to the people saying she's just trying to sell clothes that people will buy: I know that. And it just proves my point. Donations are usually seen as a place to dump your ugly clothes that you don't want to wear anymore, that nobody will buy, ergo that won't create any sort of profit. Donations should not work like that, just because people need things people donate, doesn't mean they should accept whatever comes their way just because it's given to them by whoever. Of course as of now they're forced to do that to meet somehow livable conditions, since there is no other way to cope. I know it works like that, I know she wants to sell but to the very, very least she had to word it better. Words matter. Edit: I'm not saying she shouldn't sell clothes second hand. All I was saying is that she should have worded better the sentence she chose to pronounce regarding donations. I'm not attacking her, I'm not disrespecting her. You can disagree with me, it's my opinion. Words aren't just words.

She’s probably donating clothes that didn’t cost her a lot of money, I know for me if I didn’t spend much money on the item, I would just immediately donate it. If I spend a good amount of money and I barely wore the item, I resell it for cheaper than I got it. But to each its own, it’s not your clothes so I don’t think we should be telling Deborah what to do with her clothes. We don’t know her thought process.
