Timothy Mobley no. And would you really want him to? You want every NBA game to stop in the middle so the opposing coach and go “lets give it up for Marcus Smart, he’s a great player” that totally defeats the purpose of a moment like this. You don’t just do this sort of thing for no reason, dirk is a 20+ year vet, MVP, and champion. Moments like this are for the extraordinary, not the ordinary.

Its funny because im old enough to remember a time when these two organizations were the laughing stocks of pro sports. It seemed like the 90's would never end, and these 2 teams would ever get better. We had our chip, and a great run with Dirk, and now we have a bright future with Luka and KP! Oh boy you’re feeding me to the lions now lmao. Am I not tortured enough? 😂😂. I gotta be 100% honest as soon as he came back then quickly ruptured his Achilles’ tendon I became torn on wether I wanted him. I started doing the math saying well he’s out the whole season so by the time he’s back into it he’s in that 32 range coming off many injuries with an Achilles being hard to come back from as the same player esp at the middle/downward start of your prime? BUT all being said I have to be 💯. Obviously I wanted him. If not, to at least get us back on the map and maybe draw other super stars which is the one thing that bothers me about the NBA these days. Nobody has the b@lls to take that chance to grab the big spotlight though with Dolan I guess I can’t blame them. Smh lol
@BigPete444 жыл бұрын
The second KD ruptured his tendon I said the F’N Knicks are jinxed. That was the worst possible scenario that happened to the Knicks and myself lol That created just enough doubt to F everything up. Also I really don’t know if him and Kyrie were ever gonna come to the Knicks at all even if he didn’t get hurt? Sounds like they had already decided they were planning the Nets as far as Feb? These players love to trick everyone when it comes to their destinations LOL I have to say oddly for the first time in years I was almost relieved we didn’t go after him and kinda like our young group but I’m tired of this rebuilding crap for 15 years now. I hate Dolan but I’m 40 born and bred in The Bronx grew up watching that 90’s Knicks team that was so fun to watch. They’re my heart and so I just have to keep on suffering every year lol Ehhh who knows. Good luck with the Nets. This guy dismantled my miami heat and I salute him for that. Allstars powerhouse vs one germinator and his crew. Two thumbs up to the kid from germany and now one of the nba's great lengends. Greatest player ever to come from EUROPE

Doc and Dirk are class acts all around. Wish we had more like them not just in sports, but in the world!

So much sportmanship and respect... That's why we love this game. I don't know why someone should hate Dirk.

I know a lot of ppl hate on Doc for his coaching career but dang, he’s a good dude. I’ve always respected him as a person and a leader. And the love he showed to my all-time favorite player in this moment was so special.

As a die hard spurs fan I enjoyed seeing Dirk play . Many times we played the mavs and he always gave us headaches. Congrats on a great career.

KD can keep all his rings. This one here just cannot be bought nor forced.
@gershomtan58795 жыл бұрын
Eric Elegado why does KD always need to be brought up. Can’t we just give dirk his props and be like him in respecting all other players? Dude was and is a class act, the fans not so much.

Can say the same for lebron

@@gershomtan5879 I think you are confused. Most people that bring up KD aren't die hard Dirk fans, there are just people who can't fathom tucking their tail between their legs and running to the team you were up 3-1 on in the WCF. Every ring he gets in GS has an asterisk. The reason its being brought up on Dirk videos is because Dirk's chip was the polar opposite, done on a team most considered a first round exit, especially with the history of the Mavs going out in the first round multiple times as a high seed before the 2011 season. They then proceed to run through every powerhouse team in the playoffs, including the newly made super team Miami while being on a team where he is the only All Star. KD never got past the second round without at least an All Star on his team, and he hasn't won a ring without 3 other all stars on his team. If KD's rings are worth 1/3 of a ring each, Dirk's ring is worth 3 at least.

This is the classiest thing I've seen done in sports. 1 man making sure another is given his respect as an all-time great. To get that kind of reaction in an away stadium shows you how much Dirk meant to the game
