My wife looks over as I am watching this and asks "is he making Jello?" ha ha!!! And the secret to good camera angles is you have to be creative with mounts and find multiple spots of said mounts. Wanna know where the selfie stick goes when it's not in your hand? 😂😎👊

Just came across this. I am first time user (this year) of Doc products and this summer have restored my disgusting lawn to a now beautifully regrowing Bermuda lawn. I have only done one bag this summer and I’m happy with it. I like the fact I applies wet. The product also works on keeping my plants greener and healthier than they have ever been in 4 years. Yes if you already have other products apply this is not meant to make it even better if it’s already healthy. My clay soil now is soft and maintains humidity as well. I had very hard soil. So in combination of doing humic DG to the hard soil. The Doc has helped do better than what the expensive turf company was ever doing done. Glad I got rid of that expense.

I am shocked at the hostility in some of the comments. I have been so enthralled in Doc’s videos as a newly lawn obsessed person. I’m thankful for the education he offers for free, and many others too! It’s exciting to learn, I am thankful for the honest review. Information allows for every individual to make an informed decision. I pray everyone enjoys their lawn care experiences and keeps it positive! Lawn care for me is such a healing experience. Love to you all!

Super Juice is to be used as a supplement along with granular fertilization. I use it on my Bermuda at the 7-1-2 ratio every 2 weeks along with a light monthly granule fertilization of PGF Complete. The results for me this year has been the greenest lawn on the street along with irrigation 3x /week. Super Juice is to be used with a hose end sprayer and as far as cost , yes its not cheap but I get 8 treatments for about $10.00 a treatment which I think is reasonable. Very pleased with the results so far -

You sound like someone that has been programmed to say that. If you read the label, it has the stuff just like a fertilizer and to green up any lawn. It has an 14-2-4 NPK plus 4% iron. The fact you think it has to be use as a supplement with ferts is a bunch of bull. The results you getting is from the pgf and not the super juice. Not to say, a lot of"docs" advice is very wreckless and irresponsible. If you believe the hype, good for you. But people who know about lawns, know he is scamming people

Your 100% right about salesman. This all started about 1 year ago. It's pretty obvious what's going on. All the guys met which was cool and now a major push on products. It's been hell in NJ and my lawn is tolerating it like never before. There is something about the gentle spoon feeding my lawn this year with superjuice and PGF complete along with some other stuff. ok, so it's not a miracle fert but I'll be damn if my yard does not look healthier, thicker and greener than ever. Doc has a good following like the rest and has Andersens behind him like the others have Matt behind them. Doc is flying solo is the only difference. Just like McGregor and Jon Jones, get a taste of the game and fortune and quickly forget about what got you there. Please people keep it real and stop all the hate. I dont see Doc even mention anything about others or what they are pushing.

@@GrassDaddy I remember my local nursery raving over Super Thrive before Walmart or any other store had it available. I jumped all over it which at the time was very expensive to try on my trees and flowers. low and behold I didnt notice any significant changes. The great sales pitch got me and didnt live up to the hype. not saying it was a bad product but didnt get the results I expected even after finishing out the small bottle. Superjuice on the other hand I believe and its constant feeding with hose end sprayer played a big role in a drastic change is my lawns appearance. it's hard to swallow watching multiple youtubers knocking this product who really weren't interested in actually using it at its recommended rates. I'm not that gullible to actually believe it's the only fert I will need. Summertime is not good to fert because of the heat stress so maybe skip the carbon X and finish out the year spoon feeding with your bag of SJ. Next year try testing SJ,PGF Complete along with Innova and a spot for carbon X and some of what Pete and LCN use and another spot with some scotts products, and milo and I'm willing to bet there will be very little difference.

I don't remember the specific advertising for SJ, as I came across Doc's videos and tutorials this spring and learned about all the products...which I bought. So the SJ is used along with regular fertilizer + humichar for supplementing in between. All I can say is that I have the greenest lawn on the block. I killed the Bermuda in the front a few years ago so I could plant fescue, as it was a mix and the lawn was getting more shaded with the tree getting bigger. Now even the Bermuda is coming back! My backyard is filling in with Bermuda. I had been treating improperly prior, and not getting pre-emergent down in the right timing. Regarding this test, your yard is green, but very weedy. The other was even more weedy and the third super dry. It appears nobody is really following great practices with pre-emergents, fertilizing, and watering. SJ certainly won't green up a thirsty lawn.
@sandmandave2008
@sandmandave2008 4 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. His test is flawed although I believe the results boasted on the product are probably inflated, similar to the way the burger or sandwich that you get NEVER looks like the one advertised on TV. IMO, a true test would require more than a single application, should include soil testing over time, check for lawn thickness over time, and then compare to an untreated area. The other thing I question is it seems most of Docs products are geared specifically to Hybrid Bermuda grass. Grass Daddy's lawn does not look like it is Bermuda. Lawn type can make a big difference as I've seen specific products that cannot be used on certain specific grasses.

It’s a product, and that’s marketing. If I sold such products I’d do the same. The consumer bares responsibly to do their homework. Doc does not imply that you shall only fertilize your lawn. He goes to great extent to educate on soil conditioning, pesticides, fungicides and selective herbicides. It’s multi step, if your missing a link the turf cannot fully benefit from the nutrients.

My neighbor bought two bags of this stuff and wanted me to try it as well. We both have pretty nice lawns that we put a lot of time and effort into so I didn't really expect too much but I've been following Doc on KZbin for a few years and he sounds like he knows what he's talking about most of the time so I thought, "what the heck, I'll try it". A month later, didn't really see any difference at all than before I applied the juice. I've used Sta-Green products from Lowes for several years and am quite happy with the results they provide. They have a pretty simple, fool proof system for lawn care and maintenance. Anyway, not impressed with the Super Juice but like Doc's videos and will continue watching them. Thanks for the review

Great video and appreciate you putting yourself out there for the abuse. First, I am not a Doc homer. I do learn from his videos as well as yours and others. Here is my experience and what I was facing with my Bermuda lawn. First, have had a terrible time with Poa Annua during last winter and early spring. So much so that I bit the bullet and just used round up while the grass was completely dormant. It did stunt growth and killed some areas. Then i worked on brining it back. Started with one application of Milorganite, which I had never used before in late spring (loved that stuff and would have used more but couldn’t find it anywhere in town). Followed a couple weeks later with 1 application of Humic DG and a locally made complete fertilizer with micros. Then got SuperJuice and applied once a week at full strength for about a month. June was rainy as hell in Oklahoma so got plenty of water. My lawn exploded and filled in great. Applied another bag of fertilizer in late June and have only been supplementing with SJ every 7-10 days. We have had no rain in a month now and every other lawn is fried (most have irrigation systems). Mine is still dark green and has to be mowed every 4 days. I also am following his short cycle watering suggestion but can only water on even days. Was it the SJ or the 1 application of Humic DG or the 1 application of Milo?? I can’t really say but that combination has worked well. The price is steep, but I can go a whole summer with one bag so it actually works out saving me money and micro feeding more often. My lawn does look the best in the neighborhood so I am happy. Would be interested in trying something else though if you or anyone would like to leave a comment.

Then, in June, I noticed some weed pressure coming into the new front and side lawns, so I bought *_1 BOTTLE_* of weed be gone with crabgrass killer, put it down and immediately killed the front and side lawns that I'd worked so hard to grow and make beautiful. So now I'm depressed, bummed out and broken hearted. BTW, the weeds I was trying to kill..... Still there. I cannot believe one bottle of OTC, big box store weed killer destroyed what I had left of my beautiful lawn. Makes me want to give up completely and get a new hobby. I'm terribly vexed over this entire thing. So, was it the tractor supply co seed that was weak and had zero tolerance for any type of pest control chems? Is it just a characteristic of TTTF that it's finicky and doesn't respond well to much of anything? Or is it all my fault that the entire yard died this year? IDK. But I need to find out.

Awesome real review! Here's my thoughts: I bought it early this year like many others. It is simply too expensive (over priced) but it is partnered with a good company - I have to give him that. I still have at least 1/3 of a bag left in late July ... I haven't used it like Doc likely does - if so, the bag might last two months. I applied Milorganite (got fantastic results) and also Next products. I use a Chapin Professional sprayer bottle and the Next was much thicker and sometimes clogged but it seemed to give good results. Docs stuff did not clog and went on easily but I did notice almost every-time some yellowing of my Bermuda - but it recovered. Did I say that it is over-priced? It's better than nothing at all ... but maybe not for the price. The Aderson's has other products that are high quality and less expensive. I kind of like mixing it myself so that is good ... but results - not really. It's not bad, but it's not good either (for the price). Milorganite and water with a couple of Next products worked great. To his credit, it's a supplement ... to I propose, something like Milorganite. At $80 I will not buy again ... maybe $40, maybe. I just cannot recommend the product for what it does, for all the claims, and most of all, for the price. Doc has some nuggets of good info, but he constantly pushes he "website" and products (people want fast links right in KZbin - not jump off to some lame www site - FYI). Good on Next ... Good on Milorgantite .. good on The Anderson's other products. Not so much on Doc's. Solution: stop talking down to people, put direct links in KZbin description like real professionals, LOWER the PRICE, and don't over state its usefulness. It is a cool experiment for him and fast cash but it just isn't revolutionary and deserving of the price. Real professionals could show up at a Lawn Convention and mingle with recognition - I'm afraid Doc might be in an awkward position. I will use the rest of my bag - I mean, it isn't bad like I said before, but I will not buy again and I will buy lots of other products. I invest a good sum of money in products and lawn care like many people do here. Thank you for an honest real review! [one last thought: if you do get some results, I think you could get the same results from watering with food color every two days (same as effective dose) and properly mowing - maybe every three days. Water & mow, mow, mow - will get great results. Throw in a spread of fert and there you go.]. I top mine with Miricle Gro Lawn Food when I can find it. It a liquid mix and never let me down. I buy two or three boxes and stock them when I can.

Super juice is a supplement, it’s only supposed to feed your lawn for a week. So for example if you are starting a new lawn or reseeding before cold weather or really hot weather to come you don’t want to use a fertilizer that’s going to feed for 8 weeks, when the grass wants to go dormitory. It’s nice to have options of how long you want to feed your grass for bc weather changes. You’re not using the right applicator. Doc doesn’t state that this is some miracle product, like you think you’re trying to prove it is or isn’t in this video. After watching Doc and using The Anderson’s products and grass seed Doc recommends, my lawn has never looked better! Ive had multiple friends, family and workers at my house that were shocked at how quick grass came in after seeding my side lawn which is a new lawn with dirt I brought in.. Wish I could insert pictures here for prove. Doc and The Anderson’s products are amazing! Honestly, I wouldn’t trust and follow someone who puts other people and hard working business down to make themselves look better and smarter.

Why does grass daddy commenting to you all that the product is a one time app and a primary fert??. This is found on the products website: Super Juice™ was designed to be used as a supplement to your current fertilizer program. Very small lawns, that are currently healthy, can use it as a primary fertilizer (like many golf courses do), but most should use a a supplement.

The problem is the sales page claims results in days and is an all in one complete fertilizer, but apparently Doc says it really needs to be applied multiple times and should be applied with the PFG complete fertilizer. i have this product. if you watch Docs videos he explained that its a SUPPLEMENT fertilizer. its not meant as a replacement. i personally use it to add micro nutrients and use it as a light in between spray fertilizer. also if im treating for bugs or something, i add this in as an extra boost of recovery from the 'negative' i put down. there are applications where its pointless like your lawn and a few others you showed being professionally fertilized. You never mentioned the last time any one of these lawns were last fertilized with a granular, you just said its taken care of. Timing makes a difference and if you spray this right after or within a week of a granular.. of course you'll see no difference.. Also misleading with the 1-4 hour results. You need to read better he didnt say 1-4hours results he said " Super Juice can be used as a primary fertilizer (like many golf courses do) or as a supplement to your current granular program. Because it is applied as a spray, many of the nutrients will start to be absorbed into the grass via foliar uptake. This can start to happen in as little as 1-4 hours. " he says nutrients absorbed, not results. Try a different test next time, this one is INVALID.

I've used Super Juice. During seeding, as a supplement (to Milorganite) and as a weekly feeding. I don't use a backpack sprayer and would not recommend that. Use the recommended modified hose end sprayers. I've also never used such a low quantity. Usually a whole cup for my 1000sq yard. Within those recommended uses, you will get good results and the bag goes a long way. Super Juice is not really a great primary fertilizer. It's a supplement. Doc says that over and over in his videos. It's just a pain to prep and the Humic Acid clogs sprayers even when filtered as directed by Doc. Simple Lawn Solutions similar product is $50 for a gallon, so it's not as expensive as you think. It lasts a while. I give it a B-.

I'm not sure if anybody is still interested in this video or its associated comments, but here goes: I've used Super Juice (original formula) for some time now. It lasts a long time. I've yet to buy a second bag. My 1000 sq ft front lawn only requires 3/4 a cup and a gallon of water. Although not in the directions, I spike it with a surfactant since it's a foliar feeding product. I also apply at the optimal time, which is dusk, just before the sun goes down. This way the product doesn't dry out quickly and continues to be absorbed overnight. I've always gotten great results since Andersons finally released bottles that don't clog. Results are usually visible the following morning. Greening, growth and more lush. Works even better when supplementing a granular fertilizer, then as a weekly or biweekly feeding. Especially in the Spring and Fall. Also a great supplement to high phosphorus and potassium fertilizers in the Fall, when repairing grub damaged turf or seeding. Recommended.

First time I've ever had a Bermuda lawn, and years since I took care of a lawn. Bought the hype when it first came out and used it as my primary fertilizer, due to Doc's advice. 2 doses and 5 weeks later, didn't do much at all. In fact, it really put me behind since my lawn was sodded in December when our house was finished and the lawn was already dormant. I ended up putting about 1.5 pounds per thousand kf Nitrogen of Lesco 18-24-12 Starter Fertilizer in mid-June and my lawn caught up in a hurry. I still micro dose a few other times in between granular feedings, but Doc must have caught some serious flak for this product, bec he did a complete 180° and went from pushing it as a "Primary," and then saying it was a supplement, and that "Granular was the only true way to do a soil correction. I did use the PGF complete, and it worked pretty well, but I'm leaning towards just using the Lesco 24-0-11 fertilizer. I get 50 pounds of products vs 18, and it has higher nitrogen....both are slow release as well. Thanks for the video!

Appreciate the test video Grass Daddy. If someone has the time to treat their lawn EVERY week, just use Miracle Grow Liquid Lawn Food, spoon feed Milo or pick any fert/nutrients at random. I have used this product since March applying it about every two weeks to my lawn. One cup of Super Juice covers 3000 sq ft. I use two cups for my 6000 sq ft yard. The powder it mixed in water (amount does not matter as long as you put the whole amount out) I use five quarts of water because with experience have found that works best for me. The mixture should be put into hose on sprayers, takes 6 to put out the liquid. Get a good coverage on the foliage (as this product feeds the foliage and is absorbed within about 4 hours). Routine feedings of Super Juice along with your granular fertilizer (which feeds the soil) helps the grass thicken up and results have been amazing for those of us that have used the product routinely. The "Crabgrass Daddy" (look at his lawn) did not see an immediate results because its feeding the foliage. Think he was expecting an immediate green up, that is not what Super Juice does. Its feeding your lawn for a more healthy grass with the nutrients. Should be used to supplement your normal fertilization and humic applications.

I don't doubt Doc knows his stuff. His lawn shows it and his knowledge shows it, but I'm not buying everything he's selling either. I own my own business and although I'm not a great salesman, I can spot a sales pitch a mile away. I used to watch his KZbin channel because he was pushing information that was helpful, but so many of the more recent ones are just advertisements pushing his products. I give him credit for trying to hustle and make a dollar and I do not fault him for that, but making false claims is another issue altogether which I don't like. Amino acids and humates are good, we all know that if we've done much research, but as this video showed (I wasn't surprised at all honestly with the results), this is pure marketing. Is it beneficial? Yes, I'm sure it is, but if you are doing normal care, the benefits are going to be marginal at best. On one of his products on Amazon.com (I don't recall which product) one of the reviews was an in your face fake review with photos that would only be believed by someone that doesn't stop and think for themselves. Their so called "before" photos showed a brown lawn, and the after showed a nice green lawn. Looking closer, EVERY lawn around theirs was also brown, leading me to believe they were all dormant in a cool season. The after photos, all of the lawns were all green, later in the year when the temperatures warmed up. That's not an amazing product, that's how that turf type works. The shrubs along the front of the house were obviously many months older and blooming. They showed vast improvement on the side of the house, but the 90 degree angles in one spot and the higher dirt elevation when you count the number of bricks make it obvious that someone has put down new sod, and they are calling whatever his product was a miracle cure. Reviews like that are exactly why I do NOT purchase his products in any way, shape or form. I don't mind marketing and sales pitches, but when you get people to blatantly lie to try and separate people from their money, I lose all respect for the person, product and would buy a lesser product before spending money on what they are peddling. I also lost a lot of respect for him when he was trying to say he was a professional pressure washer and using any bleach on a cement surface (side walk or driveway) was useless because there was so many mold and mildew spores in the air that it was going to land on the surface and re infest it immediately anyway. If he had any professional training besides watching KZbin videos and reading forums, he would know that cement is a very porous surface and a pressure washer removes the mold and mildew and bacteria from the surface, but it cannot clean inside the pores, which is where bleach comes in handy to sanitize into the pores. If you don't kill the growth there, the surface will become dark and nasty much faster. Using bleach and a professional surfactant I can clean a surface like this and it will remain clean 4-6 times longer than just pressure washing (with photographic proof), so when he was trashing any way other than his and making it look like he knows everything and anybody doing anything differently is just wasting time, money or using a sales pitch, I lost almost all respect for him. I saw a video of his yesterday where he was again, claiming to be a professional, but yet he was out spraying pesticides wearing shorts, a short sleeved shirt, and shoes that would absorb whatever he was spraying, then spraying the lawn in front of him as he walked into the wet area. he was at least wearing protective gloves, and maybe eye protection, but left his arms, legs and feet exposed. Yep, great example there Doc. If you're going to claim to be a professional in lawn care, act like it and wear the correct PPE.

On Doc's Amazon page he also sells "The Andersons Organic Humic DG Granular Soil Conditioner" 40# bag for $64.88, which I can buy locally for $49.95. He claims in the video that he has the absolute lowest price on the 40# Humic DG, but when I did a google search I found a number of sites selling it for much less. Not sure Doc always has the best advice on such things.

Doc's results are undeniable in his lawn, but this product simply is too expensive for something that isn't a primary fertilizer.

Well and we don't know what else he's put down or what rates. I can only go by what the sales page and label say. Some say it works great if you apply it 1-2 times a week, which I don't have time for but the label didn't say that was required either.

I have followed about half of what Doc has suggested and have had about 15 people ask me who takes care of my lawn. This stuff is very expensive but I have a small lawn and it lasted me two years so not bad. Comprehensively, I can say what he suggests works. Would it be the same without it? I have no idea because I opt to do what works.

@@GrassDaddy I used some of the techniques (soil sample, scalping, etc.). I used the fertilizer he recommended and I used the SJ as a supplement. I have not used dirt booster, humichar, etc. secondary to cost. I also haven’t leveled my lawn or bought a reel mower. My front yard would be nearly impossible to level and I just haven’t done my backyard. I’m sure it would look even better with a reel mower.

Doc has a video where he mixes his own super juice before he decided to sell that shit. It is basically humid acid, fertilizer, chelated iron and that stupid blue dye. I make my own with humic 12, Urban Farm liquid lawn and chelated iron. Screw the blue dye it’s a waste of money, save it for spraying weeds. I have 2 acres so I’m looking for something cheap. My yard would take 35 bags of Milo for 1 application. Not gonna happen. Oh and don’t try to dissolve the humic DG granular to spray it. Check out John Perry’s video where he show the dissolved stuff vs Humic 12.

The blue dye is for you to see that you still have material in the container to spray. Doc says this specifically in the video. SJ works best with lots of water so the specially made sprayers are spraying straight water from one nozzle while pulling the SJ out of the reservoir with the other. I didn't put dye in my batch and I ran out of SJ and don't really know how much area I sprayed with just water. I was spraying by the sidewalk and didn't want a blue sidewalk. LOL The dye DOES serve a purpose.

Its micro dosing. It’s not like putting down a dose of 10-10-10 and you’ll see results in four days. Can’t do that in the south Georgia area in the middle of summer. I’ve treated mine about 6 times this year with good results. I’ll use it again next summer. I’m about to buy some of the PDF complete. I really would like a very healthy lawn going into winter time for a change.

I would like to see something a little more robust in terms of testing. I'm not knocking what Grass Daddy has done here--it's great--but I think that one or more youtubers should conduct a comparison test between a Carbon X (or better yet XGRN)/N-Ext supplement program and a PGF/Super Juice program in the following way: 1. The test will be for a full growing season, or at least two full application cycles 2. The test plots should be in as close to the same soil as possible and as equal in size as possible (for example divide the back yard in half) 3. Everything else should be equal (mowing, irrigation, other treatments, etc.) 4. Label-rates for amount and frequency of applications should be used (same app rates for both plots per app, so either max/max or min/min) 5. Document: daily observations should be made, even if only 5 min of video coverage or 5 min gathering snapshots from different angles as well as at different times of the day or same day pre-mow and post-mow. Other observations should be made about ease of purchase, delivery, prep and application. Also a complete cost analysis (for both amount of product used and projected out over a year) should be conducted because for some people it may come down to which method provides acceptable results for a lower price. These products contain some N and Fe, so of course it'll make something green (especially if using marker dye with the Super Juice). The question that sticks in my mind is which method provides lasting results with the best experience (meaning ease/frequency of application and cost). That brings to mind one other observation. I might be a little off here, but I seem to remember that the Super Juice is suggested to be applied once per week or something like that (I could be wrong here). But if it is much more frequent than other products that provide similar results, then for me that drives the value down. I'd rather apply a product once per month instead of once per week if I can get the same or very similar results. It would be really interesting if soil samples could be done before and after as well, but I don't think there will be much difference with shorter-term tests. This is the kind of comparison test that I think would be of best value for viewers. If the results come back the same or very close, then it could just be a matter of personal preference and how much $/time someone is willing to spend. Disclaimer: I am a fan and customer of CarbonX and the N-Ext products. They have provided great results for me. But I'm open to seeing a comparison of the two by a youtuber. Before someone says I should do it, y'all don't want to see or hear me on camera, nor do I have the equipment to film.
@GrassDaddy
@GrassDaddy 5 жыл бұрын
Oh I fully agree. The reason this was a short term test was the sales page saying hours and days not weeks and months. I would love to do a long term test with each product applied at the recommended rates. But I do not have the time/energy/land to do a full test like that this year. Maybe next!

I have Bermuda sod placed on red dirt and it’s survived since it’s not pure red dirt , subdivision built on top of and old woods with red dirt everywhere. Anyways the soda been down 3 years and has tons of weeds, I’ve put out weed and feed, de thatched a third of the front yard, and scalped it. Super juice should be here in 2 days, it’s been lightly raining every since I’ve scalped and will remain overcast until I put super juice. I have already ordered PGF complete and it will go on after I use all of super juice on my 8k square foot front yard only. You’ll have to comment so I can make my way back here with results as they come

Actually, I am not surprise that you guys don't see a visible difference.. if you guys already have good enough lawns, probably you won't see the difference with Super Juice. Imagine a healthy person who took supplements and vitamins hoping to see a big improvement in health. However, my lawn is a Bermuda lawn, with bad weed situation ( like 60% weeds). I applied Super juice and the Bermuda began to grow so well and is now taking over!! I can only say from my experience it works for me!

Did you watch the video? I applied it on 3 different lawns. Mine was the only healthy one. The key difference I'm noticing is most raving fans have Bermuda, and these were all cool season lawns.
