Doc Talk Podcast-Nebraska Loses at Wisconsin

Another close game, another close loss for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The latest setback a 24-17 overtime loss at Wisconsin. Nebraska has now lost three in a row. It is 5-6 on the season and needs a win against Iowa on Black Friday to become college football bowl-eligible.

Bo Nix. affectionately known at auburn as Bo Pix. Burrow "better than what we got?" was still a mistake. You had a guy from a winning program that could have put some competition into the room. I know he wouldn't have turned into the Heisman winner but c'mon the room was a qb everyone wanted benched and a Wide Receiver everyone thought could be a qb.

I like what Purdy has to offer as a QB after last week, but I still very guarded as he was SO bad last year. In terms of running I do have to disagree with you. Chubba is quick with a good top end, but Haarberg is still significantly the best running threat we have. Haarberg's top end speed on the field is at a different level than the other 2. On his multiple long TD runs he pulled away from the dbacks was amazing. Combined that with his physicality and I have not seen anything like it at Nebraska since Tommy Fraizer.

last thing Ted will do is restructure the academic side in Lincoln, look at dramatic cuts WVU has done, huge changes coming, UNL will never be the same. will be tough to build that stadium.

If Thompson was at NU now: 1. He would be hurt for at least part of the season. He always is. That puts NU in the same spot as now. 2. Sadder-field would think he has the ‘84 Dolphins with Marino. Pass City. Might have a worse record than now. 3. No Palmer. Not much difference. 4. He would be hurt. 5. He would be hurt.

Thompson also was extremely overated. He was better than what we have now but he also only managed to squeak 14 against Rutgers and Wisconsin 7 against a mediocre Oklahoma that allowed 51 to Texas tech. All while having a NFL receiver. Also satterfield may not be performing but he runs the ball more than all but 5 teams in college football
