Mumbo says (in his own video) that he's really not sure if it's a bug or Doc's shenanigans although he, understandably, probably thought that Doc somehow did it legitimately (given the amount of times he had "broken" the game via conventional means).

Doc, you made it into the German education system! I'm currently participating in some retraining to get an IT job when I'm done and we were talking in a class about ITIL. One thing was something about optimization and automation, so I said "basically it's t grind first, optimize and automate so we can thrive? the GOAT-Principle!" on Bedrock, Armor stands are treated as "alive". Meaning They could be Oozed with a Splash Potion. And then, you could "kill" them with a Splash Potion of Harming. Which would make them Spawn a ton of Slimes in a very controlled environment. But unfortunately they patched it. Update Blues indeed...

Years ago, I played on a server that allowed you to craft "mob catchers" that turned into a spawn egg when used on a mob (which removed the mob from the world). I made a villager spawn egg, made a villager spawner and showed a moderator. He was not amused and told me to not tell anyone else.

Same thing happend to me! Odd that server admin teams never seem to know about this ancient feature. Though, now as an adult, I realize a few few on that staff were pretty creepy in ways better left out of a youtube comment section, so maybe moderating the game wasnt their main goal from the start... Reminds me of the water changes with the update aquatic. I had a really fun minigame on a server where you had to use the fishing rod to pull arrows out of a water stream and then shoot those at targets. Well, since everything now moves much quicker in water it broke the entire game.

I'm SOO excited about the ender stasis chunk loader! As someone how stuggles with redstone or at least advanced redstone, I can not figure out how to make the portal chunk loaders. I have watched Doc make them and YT tutorials, NOTHING! i can not wrap my brain around them but making a ender stasis chamber... I can do that! So awesome!

I just had a witch farm idea that doesn't require a hut. Not really efficient, but could be fun to build. Build a villager farm, wait for a storm, lightning rods nearby. Just need to figure out how to filter them. Redstone signal to drop them into a collection chamber? The rod does give off a signal strength when it gets hit. Probably use a crusher or full drop system. I always seem to get at least a couple storms when I AFK. Time between would give enough time to load up. Villager breeder into a child/adult filter. Double up on the filter in case it gets clogged, because they do from time to time. Adults get shunted out into an open space next to a lightning rod. Connect to a redstone device that opens the floor when it gets hit. Drop them into a water stream. Water stream takes them to a kill chamber/dead drop. Do they take damage from falling on dripstone like normal? 1x1 hole, filter them in?

Having super simple temporary chunk loaders is really nice. And it being dependent on the specific player being logged in is certainly interesting. It's always cool to get new features that are similar to existing ones but with some differences that create other use cases. It's also just a great buff for Stasis Chambers. Sucks about everything else breaking though.

I remember watching xisuma's snapshot video with the breeze change and thinking to myself: Yup, doc's cannon will be broken now... shouldn't be too hard for the hivemind to fix though. And now we're here. The original cannon is proudly standing in our survival server and has been a ton of fun. I managed to launch myself and a villager in the sky, trade with him mid-air and get the advancement. We probably won't update but at least it's good to know a fixed version exists :)

Using admin power to fix things that would take hours just because update broke them, that is fair. Let's be real, in most games if when you realise something is badly wrong you would load the save file and continue playing as tgat never happened. You only have so much time in life, we won't spend it on fixing something again and again Forbidden items, fun if you mess with people but make sure to destroy everything afterwards to not ruin the experience for others (but you already know all that) I really hope big complex contraptions did not break Cant wait to see how that story with Joel develops Have a nice weekend!

I had the same issue with my trial chamber farms. Previously, line of sight to the player didn't matter for spawning the mobs (it only mattered for initially activating the spawner). But now, mobs can spawn outside of those encased blocks next to the spawner, as long as they can see you. You can either do what you did (a large open space to handle multiple spawners), or if you still want to do individual spawner traps, just use solid blocks directly around the spawner instead of glass (just leave a couple spaces for them to spawn on like before, and at least 1 glass block 4 blocks away that can be used to activate it by line of sight).

Adding new hermits is always an interesting balance. Too many hermits is not good, but new blood is definitely needed from time to time so the server doesn't get stagnant. Joel and Skizz were excellent additions, as were Gem and Pearl before them!
