The powdered snow disappearing is from extinguishing the golems, like how the water level in a cauldron will go down if you extinguish yourself in it. You just can't tell that's what's happening bc the golems are still in the lava, so they immediately catch fire again

Since the golems are in water streams, moving the end of the lava blades black one block would ensure the golems are extinguished before touching the snow and prevent them deleting it.

If the iron golems have a hitbox greater than a block, then the lava would have to be pushed back 2 blocks.

If only there was a way to take out the king when he's on his throne, a very specific static position on the map where he stays for minutes at a time. A way that reaches through blocks and can penetrate armor from massive distances.

Doc, just an idea for the incoming duel. I think Scar will be suspicious if he is the only one to get in a booth or even a specific location. So, you should build a second booth for yourself with targets in the distance and some fancy looking score display to lure Scar with "first, a round of target shooting". Also, as always, great video !

59:10 I think it might be because powder snow turns off the fire from entities but it disappears after, so the golem gets on fire, extinguishes it with the snow, making it vanish, and gets it again from the lava.

To answer your question at 58:55 - If a mob is on fire when it enters powdered snow, the fire goes out and the snow vaporizes. One of my favorite game mechanics. Enjoy!

I have to give all of the hermits props for keeping a level head. If I was in any of these positions and didn’t have at least a week planning out tactics and scripts between all sides. I’d absolutely go nuclear when provoked. Nothing would be safe. Death traps everywhere, loot dropped on cactus, charged creepers behind every corner, obsidian casings on shops, hollow ground under builds

Idk if anyone else has mentioned this yet but the reason your snow was disappearing is from the mechanic that powder snow extinguishes an entity and is destroyed.

The powder snow vanishing isn't a bug. If an entity is on fire and touched a powder snow, it will be put out and the snow "melts" into nothingness. Normally the water would put the golem out sooner but if it bobs up enough to not touch the water anymore, the powder completes its task

If a mob is on fire and it steps into powdered snow the snow will “melt” Cub had that issue all last season with his ice cave shop.

Doc, for the powdered snow disappearing in the iron farm. It's not a bug, its a feature! When a entity is on fire and reach the snow, it vanishes while extinguishing the fire with it. So the iron golem on fire made it disappear. They made that so its now possible to extinguish yourself in the nether with a bucket of powdered snow (since water evaporates there) you can also use it for the water bucket trick in the nether as well.

The snow vanishing is the snow attempting to extinguish the golem's flames! You can try it yourself if you are on fire, but you will lose some powdered snow!

ngl can't unseen the roof as anything other than turtle shell. that being said, I think lichen will be a good lighting source for the roof if it's just to prevent spawn and the soft glow would looks good during the night. also the powdered snow vanish because it stop the burning flame from the golem similar to water in cauldron decreasing, and yes they dont melt to water. Same mechanics can be seen in total chaos seeing many powdered snow blocks vanished due to being in contact with flaming arrow.

I'm not really sure how the Perimeter could become an empire, seeing as it has zero land to build houses on. It would be cute to have little villages around the outside though

Cubfan experienced the same mystery about disappearing powdered snow. In his case it happened due to flamed arrows. In this case it could be the burning Golems. ⭐

DOC put magma blocks underneath the powdered snow in the iron farms to speed up the process to lessen entities Edit: if he does it like this he could remove the lava which could extinguish the golems and remove the snow and push them along via water on the top blocks

Magma does way less damage than being in lava, and multiple damage sources at the same time will only count the one that does more damage

@@Xacris Just a thought, but the magma idea was mainly a damage inducer before The snow starts to do it's thing (as it is timed till it starts to damage)

@@Xacris it takes a bit for powdered snow to begin damaging the golems. Magma blocks under their feet would damage them before powdered snow kicks in and finishes them off

1) the powdered snow extinguished the golems (it's a good thing to take on a bucket to the nether, btw) so yeah, they won't last long in your farm 2) If I were you I'd prepare a room in the Perimeter Empire for the HoTGuY, and possibly the rest of the rectangular table knights, they're not quite happy with the king either. And Scar as a double agent of chaos could actually be good for your interests 😉

Powdered snow “melts” or disappears when touched by a burning mob. This is probably why the powdered snow was gone in the iron farm.
