Have you ever heard of ARFID, or Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder?
ARFID is an eating disorder that typically presents with a lack of interest in food, the sensory characteristics of food or a conditioned negative association with food intake caused by a traumatic experience such as vomiting or choking. Although the diagnosis is relatively new, many people who have struggled with "picky eating" have ARFID.
