Maybe. No one should EVER sleep on Sue Richards. Overall though, yes, that FF iteration is more powerful in throw-down power, but despite Parker being a bonafide genius, Reed Richards ia still the single smartest person in Marvel. When the FF cannot slug it out, more often than not its Reed who out-thinks a problem

I never seen, or knew of that a lot of those alternate versions of THE FANTASTIC FOUR. I didn't know in 1 MARVEL Multiverse, there was a short lived FANTASTIC FIVE, with SPIDERMAN joining the FANTASTIC FOUR, but SUE STORM/THE INVISIBLE WOMAN died. I definitely didn't know about the alternative reality of the team being DR. DOOM, & HULK with INVISIBLE WOMAN, & THE HUMANTORCH still part of the team. Some of those alternative versions look pretty cool.

5:10 no, it doesn't. Sue stays in Atlantis with Namor, via genetic engineering to allow her to breathe underwater, feeling that the inclusion of Spider-Man has made her the third wheel on the team. However, there is a follow up to this years later, where we see Sue has reconciled with Reed, and it's the adventure into the negative zone to find an element to allow their son Franklin to be born.

Wait a second! Did you say that at the end of WHAT IF? #1 (original series), Sue dies and that's why the others become the Fantastic Four again? That's not what happens! In the course of that story, Sue finds herself pushed more and more to the side and Reed basically neglects her. So, when Namor takes her down to Atlantis, she decides to become a water breather and marry him. She tells the others that this way, she can act as a calming influence on Namor and keep him from threatening to invade the surface again. A few years later, there was a sequel (with Gene Colan art), in which regret gets the better of Reed and he builds a device to wipe out the Atlanteans' ability to draw oxygen from water, threatening Namor to get Sue back. However, by this point, Sue is pretty happy with Namor and they have had a baby son together. Seeing this, Reed can't go through with his plan and returns to the surface. Incidentally, another issue of the original WHAT IF? had my favorite variation of the team. In this world, the cosmic rays gave them different powers. Ben grew wings, not rocks, and became Dragonfly. Sue could stretch. Johnny became Mandroid, a being of living metal, and Reed literally became Big Brain (no body, just an oversized brain) with telepathy added to his genius.

Fav FF not mentioned here? Mine’s probably the modern take on the New FF (ie. Spier-Man, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, Hulk) permanently replacing the originals, since they’re (to my knowledge) the only version of the team to get the blue and black suits, and in the sequel to their one-shot, they managed to defeat Thanos during their version of the Infinity Gauntlet storyline. (and Iron Man replaced a dusted GR and got a cool FF-style armor)

I’d also like to mention ‘What If the FF had different powers?’ take. Sue was stretchy, Johnny was a robot, Ben had dragon wings, and Reed was a telepathic brain who ran the whole Baxter Building, served as mission control, and did something at the end that I won’t spoil. (What If vol. 1 #6)

With Reed Richards being the smartest person written in the marvel universe, as a scientist I think he knew that the group was going to get powers. Also this would explain why he could never cure the Thing because he really didn't want to as he would lose a valuable asset.

During the John Byrne era of the FF, Reed said he couldn't do anything to cure Ben because Ben could change on his own. It was a mental block Ben had because he didn't want to change for fear of losing Alicia.

I personaly whould like to see a powerless vergion of the team that has vergions of reed richards and ben grimm inspierd by their earths 65 conterparts and they team up with a vergion of sue sstorm that is reeds classmate and a jockie vergion of Johnny Storm that is sue's older teenage brother and a person who claches with Ben and their adventures would consist of Reed making weird experiments in his garage and the others would tag along, but they would also go on other types of adventures. Evryone would still have their role on the team with Reed being the brains, Sue would be the heart, Ben would be the person that would make sure nowone gets hurt and the voice of reason since he's a cop, and he would also be the muscle, and Johnny would be the guy who would be willing to take risks and would also carry a lither with him at al times incase they needed it
