I like Jaby's defense but I felt myself needing to say “but people can watch cool drama and may actually try to replicate in a serious situation not knowing it’s wrong”. it seemed to be his inner fan wanting to defend the movie where it didn’t really need it.

The logic jaby uses to defend the movies could also be used to defend Dr.Mike too. The movies exaggerate for the sake of more drama because the movies are about drama, Dr.Mike pointed out the exagerations and inaccuracies of the movies for the sake of realism because he's a REAL doctor and has to judge based on real medical ways, and Jaby defends the movies because he has more of movie fan than a doctor fan. DC shock doesn’t revive the heart …… for that you need CPR ….CPR can prevent organ damage ( brain most imp) from oxygen depletion……and adrenaline Intra venous injection can revive heart ( not directly punching injection into heart )…… these step are so important even non medicos needs to know this

I woke up during a surgery on my arm and I think everyone just froze. I looked over at where my arm would be and saw inside. I laughed but also started crying because it hurt like hell. They drugged me more and I was out. I guess they didn’t believe me and my husband when we told them I’m highly immune to pain relievers and other drugs. I basically need double what people my size usually use. (I’m 4’11) The reason for my surgery was that I had snapped a bone in my forearm during a seizure. The one that twists. It had been fractured before but the doctor said that it was sooooo tiny that I’d have to hold it and smack the arm against the edge of an anvil with all my strength to break it. It took one bad seizure to make a snap. After the surgery the surgeon told us I was lucky to wake up. It was so clean a snap that it could have sliced my artery at anytime and I would never have woken up that morning. A metal plate, 6 screws, and a scar that I get glared at for by a few people. Worth it to be alive. But yeah, waking up to see your arm sliced open and seeing your bone and muscles is a bit freaky.

I respect his defense of the movie. I just agree with Dr. mike that movies should be more medically accurate because there are many people who will see things like this in these movies and then think it's medically accurate. Like for shows like Grey's Anatomy and General Hospital or any show like CSI or Law and Order, when there are characters who are doctors involved, it doesn't make since for them to be medically inaccurate and show medical misinformation. And as for Mr. Strange, he is a doctor so it would make since for the info to be accurate. Like when she grabs the paddles, although I understand they did that for the intensity, I feel the chest compressions would be just as intense. Obviously she wouldn't be allowed to push too hard because if you are actually giving chest compressions, it's normal for ribs to break, that just means you're doing the chest compressions correctly. But like I said, I respect his view on it, I'm just implying that for many people who have knowledge about the medical accuracy, when medical misinformation is shown it can be a turn off for some. Or some people will think it's medically accurate and copy what they've seen on someone who might be injured/dying/dead.
