It's an uphill battle trying to get some doctors we work with to refer people for less xrays, and having a PT do these in their clinic without proper radiation education is a slap in the face to those who studied it and came out with a degree. I'm sorry for your loss. I know it is hard to lose a close family member due to such a reason, but let me say something from my experience. As someone who is obese, and this is now my nth weight loss journery (I've lost now 20 pounds, and 40 to go), it is never easy to start or continue in your weight loss. The constant "you need to lose weight" I hear everyday, and the shaming I get, whether intentional or not, does build up, even if I've gotten better at zoning it out. It makes you think "I should lose weight by this time, and do this and that" , even if I say I'll give myself ample time, just setting a deadline alone makes me lose focus on the now and just keep checking my progress in comparison to how much time I still have. And when you see your weight not going down sometimes for weeks even though you're doing your best, it decourages you so much, and then the bad habits start coming back. You start getting snacks bit by bit, then fast food, then you'll find yourself completely broken all the good habits you tried picking up. And in no time, (and this usually happens to me in summers, I am bipolar and summer is one of the worst periods in the year for me) I find myself letting go, and gaining sometimes even more than what I lost, and it's a constant, year after year of starting and letting go, and it becomes draining to even think about your weight at all. What I'm trying to say is, don't blame your father for his life decisions on "not wanting to lose weight" cause it might've not been true. Instead just try to remember him for all the good memories you've had with him. I'm sorry if it was not my place to say this, and again sorry for your loss. RIP Jessicurrrrrrrrr's dad 🙏🏻

His transformation is probably not so natural, but if he is happy with it who are we to judge him. I know how hard it is when you are overweight, nobody takes you serious. For videotaping his old roommate sexually assaulting a viewer or a person in the vlog and posted it in the internet and it became haha funny to them. Like the woman was drunk and passed out and the roommate assaulted her and David filmed it. And the his most horrible one was that he almost k*lled his friend in using an excavator. Got multiple surgeries because of it and pretty sure damaged his eye? And David the majestic that he is took no accountability and jokes about it as well.

With the quality of your responses here, I can really tell you’re not relying on previous or maybe outdated knowledge, but that all your expertise shown here is coming from continued and committed research - not only on things that are relevant to medical health - like hypertrophy etc. Feels like watching a Dr. Mike (RP) not Doctor Mike (M.D.) video! Their actions and attitude are consistent with their videos. Dobrik and his friends are extremely vain. One of their friends is "Nick" and their entire schtick is he's the Fat friend. All of Nick's videos are also in the same realm where he's making fun of his own weight. They aren't friends with this dude. They are using him for views and now they've based his entire success about being overweight and made fun of.

So, not having any clue who David Dobrik is, I was underwhelmed by the intro that he recorded, with all the body shaming over pretty much *nothing*. It was enough to make me totally uninterested in his body transforming. The only reason I watched any of this was because of Doctor Mike, but this is the first time that the person that he's talking about is so aggressively boring that it's hard to finish. Maybe it's just annoyance over those people making such a big deal over his normal-dude body.

Body shaming? You know some dudes find motivation in that kind of self talk? Not that deep, your soft approach of motivating yourself doesn´t have to be used by everyone lol and skinny fat people can get motivated to lose weight, not everyone has to be morbidly obese to acknowledge they can get better

you're trying to apply the same rigid moral laws to everyone. some people find it motivating, and not even personally hurtful. that's not me, but hey. my closest friends and i insult each other all the time, it's a show of closeness. it actually adds to the emotional intimacy in the relationship. the same words can have completely different impacts on different people and in different contexts

7:30 The actors get paid to look like that, meaning it is their job (for that particular movie). If you have a regular 9-5 job, you cannot dedicate that much time to exercise as the actors can when they are preparing for the movie. Plus you probably cannot afford a personal trainer, nutritionist and cook, that the production pays for the actors.

The way they’re reacting to him taking his shirt off is the reason so many people are afraid to start or stop their diet. It really sucks because even though it’s supposed to be friendly joking between them, posting it online gives the impression that it’s not normal or that it’s gross or bad. It’s incredibly harmful to be making comments like that not only online but in general. I can’t stand David dobrik, I think he’s a terrible person, but this is the completely wrong way to go about this topic. Thank you for addressing this formally and with respect, Dr Mike.
