@CAMarg-zs1xq3 жыл бұрын
Exactly
@Partyfreaker3 жыл бұрын
Food addiction is very hard mentally. But alcohol, benzodiapam addiction is a physical addiction, meaning that you have to taper off slowly or else your body will literally die from withdrawal symptoms. Physical withdrawal is so worse when you have them, because your body is screaming both mentally and physically for drugs. It's like you can't sit still, sweating, feeling nervous without anything you can do to make it stop, your heart will begin to race, and that is just the beginning and already begins within the same day of quitting, the next day you can't sleep at all, your getting very sick, diarrhea, vomiting, your mind is playing tricks on you while you can't even complete a normal sentence, you scream internally and feel like your dying and even while your body is exhausted from the constant alertness and sleep deprivation, it's unable to calm down because it doesn't have the natural chemicals in the brain to do so. Eventually patients with severe alcohol, ghb or diazapam withdrawal can die from the extreme stress that is put on the body. Don't get me wrong, a food addiction would suck ass because you always need to eat, but when you quit taking (physical dependent) drugs, your body will only calm down when you take another dose. And that will keep you in that viscous circle forever until you get help or reduce your dose very slowly every few weeks. Mental withdrawal is mind over matter, physical addiction is just you being a prisoner in your body without any escape for weeks or months.

I am thankful that she agreed to share her story with a camera tagging along!

Actually having a bad relationship with fod IS an eating disorder. The stereotype going around about having ED is usually being very skinny or being skinny to the bone. This is untrue. eating disorders are a mental disorder, NOT a body type. You DO have an eating disorder that made you eat to the point of being (like you said) "morbidly obese". I am truly sympathetic about what you have gone through and you are included in my prayers. We, in The Old Path, care about you and always include people who are victims in our prayers. I am sorry this is the only thing I can do. Remember that someone abusing your body does NOT mean YOU have the right to do it to your own body. Eating disorders can either make someone hate food or be obsessed with it. That's the shortest description I can give about it. We used to have a research paper on it and realized it goes both ways, bone thin and morbidly obese. Let's listen to the word of God together and get closer to Him. @@andromedaspark2241 - Sounds like what you’ve been through is equally unpleasant! I can see where the first impression would be an infection, but once a culture came back, the entire plan should have changed. What fucking idiots they were to you! Do you have permanent damage to contend with? I’m guessing yes but I’ve seen some near-miracles before. ERs have an equally bad track record with CRPS. Most undiagnosed patients make at least one, if not a dozen+, trip(s) to the ER in the years before diagnosis. If your CRPS is especially visible with severe edema and weirdly colored limbs, they might give you a quick shot of narcotics then let you go. That’s it. After awhile, even the most visible of cases get ignored and the patient is labeled a drug addict or drug seeker. My pain doc tells his CRPS patients (all 6 of us, lol- gotta love rare shit! something you certainly understand) to NEVER go to the ER for anything CRPS related unless you’re having seizures, brain swelling, or heart issues (it causes some fucking weird symptoms for a small percentage of patients, I got the heart complications). Instead we call him and he brings us in ASAP for whatever is needed. For me that’s usually IV lidocaine, a dose of an IV narcotic known time make people extremely tired, and possibly a spinal injection if it’s not going to mess with my normal biweekly spinal injections. His goal is as much to knock me out as it is to stop the pain, as the pain keeps you from sleeping which causes more pain and so on. He’s started talking about retiring and I’m kinda freaking out and so scared to change docs.

Man I just decided to go plant based and exercise 5 days a week 3 weeks ago, I wanted to change my lifestyle forever, rather than go on a diet (since they never work long term) and because I have gained 20 lbs that I am not happy about n I have bad genes, so I need to get ahead of it before I let myself get obese like most of my family on my momma’s side. Anyways, my dog unexpectedly died last week... it was sooo hard to not revert back to eating bad shit. I wanted to eat my feelings so badly. Especially sweets. I didn’t exercise for almost a week bc I was so sad. Which I probably should’ve stayed with it anyways but it was so unexpected I was heartbroken. but I am proud that I stayed away from the addictive foods even during such a hard time. I love dr youn's level of respect. Morbid obesity is more akin to alcoholism than just being a little chubby - extreme conditions require extreme causes. I was on this show back in 2016. I did really well went from 579 to 295. The majority I lost before finally getting the gastric sleeve. But I'll be so honest with you all. I kept it off for the first year and a half then slowly started putting it back on. I stopped sticking to the diet I was on and can't seem to get control of myself. It was alot easier to do when I had camera crews following me. I didn't get my mental health issues dealt with and I still dealt with the feelings by eating. Not all at once but little bit here and there all day long. I'm proud of all of those who have been on the show. Even if they might not have done as well as others or messed up and gained weight back later on. I've been getting back into counseling and taking my medication everyday and been talking about getting the sleeve revised in the distant future. I'm glad that the comments on here about her and the show and just people who are that big were not mean, cruel or nasty. I've got 95% positive messages from people who seen me but that other 5% were not what anyone deserves to have messaged to them by complete strangers. Honestly the things they told me I've told myself everyday and even stuff a million times worse than what they said. But hearing to kill yourself and how disgusting of a human being and how the world and my family would be so much better if I just ended myself. I usually don't watch anything to do with the show on here because my daughter told me some of the things people had commented on my episode video. I don't need to have those kinda horrible things in my head non stop. If I get back on track and get my stuff together I'll let anyone who is nice and really is rooting for me that sends me a message and asks . Everyone has something they use to make them happy, mine just happens to be food. I’m trying my best to change it to something healthier.

Before I “diet” I always remember that no one become overweight from eating a healthy amount of healthy foods. You aren’t going to become overweight from eating fruit or vegetables. Avocados did not cause anyone to gain 100s of lbs.

A lot of people are overweight because of sheer quantity of food, and fruits are high sugar and some vegetables are high carb. Please remember its a variety of factors that can cause severe weight gain. Some people also have much lower metabolisms and are more prone to it, thus if they eat a lot of an average diet they'll gain more weight. Its not just stereotypical junk food that can cause sadly, it's a variety of factors, which makes recovery that much harder. I know you probably meant no harm, but I think you should re think the statement that "no gains 100 lbs from avocados".

I gained 5 pounds from eating a lot of Avacados lol. It mighty be impossible to reach this lady's size with avocados but it can definitely cause weight gain if you're greedy like me lol. Avacados are my favorite and I have to practice self control with them lol.

@666NedFlanders fruit is a low calorie food lol. No one will get the size of this woman because of fruit it's physically impossible they'd explode before they become her size. People get her size from calorie dense foods. Natural unprocessed whole foods are always low calorie. It's possible to gain weight from them yes but it will never make someone gain enough to be morbidly obese like this woman.

Another element, it didn't happen overnight. Be patient when dieting or change it up if it's not working.

I can't even imagine being so massively overweight, it would be so intimidating and overwhelming to even START a diet because, knowing that even if you did your diet perfectly, it would take YEARS to get to a "normal" size

For me, I never realized that I was emotionally eating. I am nowhere near her weight but I had been misdiagnosed with major depression when really I have a bipolar disorder. Now that I am finally stabilizing and on correct medication, I noticed I dont snack as often or eat as much. Mental health is also such an important thing to take care of.
