Your set up is amazing...I love the desk and use a MacBook Pro as well but that large monitor is such a good idea. It’s so true, less is more for productivity! I also don’t connect my phone to my computer so I’m not distracted by texts or wanting to talk to people🙃

Excellent. There’s actually an advantage to your set up that you may not be aware of. In case of a power outage, the battery in your laptop will prevent your editing work from being lost. If you had gotten an iMac or Mac Pro (great choices too), you would need a power back up, which is usually a big clunky battery under your desk.

Sweet setup! I got the same desk in all black and its great! I would recommend to get a keyboard/mouse pad because I've noticed the wood scratches easily.

Put a leather desk carpet under the area that covers the keyboard and the hands. That may give a matching look to the chair and keep the table clean.

Lol! Most succulents need watering every 3-8 weeks, some whenever the soil is dry. Depends on the plant but for most once a week is a lot. Also make sure it is getting sun. Enjoyed the video !

I'm about to go back to school to be a rad tech and will build my own desktop set up. Custom pc and monitors and desk that should last me through med school. I'm assuming your succulent pot does not have any drainage holes in the base ? If this is the case you may have waterlogged the pot and you should avoid watering it until you start to notice the soil is dry. This is generally a more reliable approach than watering on a set schedule.

You should definitely just get a good 60w capable usb C dock to replace that USB- C multiport. You could connect to the monitor via Displayport from the dock while also charging Macbook and having extra usb ports to work with. Then, you'd only have one USB-C that would have to be removed when un-docking the macbook instead of two

i read a lot of complaints about high temp and fan noise when mbp is connected to external monitor. is it true? for succulent plants: i have one on my desk. I water it with 0.5L every 15 days in summer, once a month in the rest of the year. I use to touch the extremity of the leafs: when they become softer than the center part the plant needs water.

Really awesome setup but if I were to change something I would maybe replace the keyboard you have now with an Anne Pro 2 wireless mechanical keyboard with programmable RBG backlights and a minimalistic 60% key layout. Its not too expensive and you can get it in an all white option.
