Brilliant explanation covering almost all queries....except one thing that could you please mention a bit about negotiating the salary according to the experience we have in our home countries e.g at what point shall we negotiate (usually in interview there isn't a chance because we don't know if we are selected or not) and afterwards with whom to negotiate? Consultant or HR and perhaps some tips and tricks for doing it in a good way...thanks

So how much are you restricted in hours to work in the UK? I understand 20 hours is the max if you go to another hospital to pick up hours. So is there a standard in the number of max hours a person can make within a pay period or month, year week etc? It sounds alot like the Pharoah call center jobs in the US. Is this Call center Doctors work in a clinical form?

How can we ask the HR about the job hours? And when do we ask him/her about the hours? Before or after the interview? Can we decline the offer if we dont like how the hrs and rota is laid?. Thanks in advance 😁. Stay blessed 😇 Ibreez and Ibrahim.

Very informative . How much would an ST3 doctor make approximately , working a similar rota as the one you depicted in your video??? (with enhancement and unsocial hours included )
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK 4 жыл бұрын
This varies heavily on the rota. An ST3 in one department may do more unsocial/on-calls than another, hence they would be paid more, but on average, you can expect to add 30-40% ontop of your basic.

is it possible to make about 3000+ pounds per month with locum shifts as an CT1*2 level trainee? couldnt find any answer about the salaries with shifts. I know it depends on the hospital but i ask for average.
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK 3 жыл бұрын
At a CT1/2 level you can make £3,000 after taxes as is. Locum shifts and their rates depend heavily on availability in the hospital you work at, but at the CT1/2 level on average £40-50/hr is not unusual for locum pay.

General medicine or paediatrics- which specialty is easy to get into specialty training and has hectic life? Can I do adult medicine like cardiology, neurology etc., in UK after Paediatric training and MRCPCH?
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK 3 жыл бұрын
Adult medicine requires MRCP. Gen med would require a specialization alongside, not just gen med. Regardless, competition is merit based, so depending on your portfolio, you can apply for whatever you wish.

No, that rule would not apply then. This is for those on work visa restrictions. You cannot be a sole locum doctor if you are on a work visa.
