Just like when Peter Quill dropped the Orb in Guardians Of The Galaxy. It wasn’t planned/scripted. Chris Pratt stayed in character and the cast and crew thought it was hilarious so they decided to keep it in. 😂

Finally, one of the most fun and detailed work of MCU imo. The final fight was tricky and unexpected, but that's exactly what stephen strange would do.

As of today this is one of my top MCU movies, after EndGame and Infinity War, which are just insane movie making. This is the most fascinating and mind blowing.

I would say Doctor Strange, Thor and Wanda. Or maybe replace Thor with Loki, then you got three sorcerers.

"I'm not talking about money" links perfectly to the "No amount of money ever bought a second of time" line from Endgame as well. I wonder if it was planned, or just a neat coincidence.

Doctor Strange was the one MCU film I wasn’t highly anticipating despite loving some of his comic arcs but I loved the movie. The visuals in this film are so wild, moreso than Inception to me. The mirror dimension stuff is cool but I love the design they went for with Dormammu. Fun fact Benedict Cumberbatch also voiced Dormammu so he was really just talking to himself in that sequence.
@39Hundred2 жыл бұрын
Love your reaction. Actually, the images in the film Inception were inspired by the images in the Dr. Strange comics back in the 1960s. Can’t wait to see you guys react to Infinity War and Endgame. 👍🏼

Regarding Mordo you guys stuck on him having a problem with Strange messing with the nature of things but you guys didn't really talk about the ancient one and the hypocrisy of her condemning the use of the dark dimension while secretly drawing power from it. Mordo and Strange have different reactions to finding this out but Strange was new to it all Mordo was devoted to to her teachings for years. Just food for thought don't think he'd have reacted to Strange the same if not for that revaluation before hand🤷🏿♂️
@seebee9252 жыл бұрын
Different people, different perspectives 😊 : The Elder has drawn energy from the dark dimension to stay alive as long as possible to protect the earth. She didn't know any other way to do this and kept it a secret so as not to give other people stupid ideas. For Mordo it might have been hypocritical (not for me) because he shares the problem with humans: putting someone else (the Eldest) on a pedestal of infallibility. And when that person falls, you fall into the abyss with them. In rage grief and endless disappointment. - Steven Strange has Christine Palmer so verbally devastated because he was standing right on the brink about to fall. Because he thought of himself as standing on a pedestal above others and being infallible. (sorry my english is not so good, I hope you can read it)

SeeBee Yeah i'm not talking from my perspective just trying to offer more insight into his, bare in mind he find out about her secret and witness Strange do what he done in the space of like a day which is a lot to take in his world was basically turned upside down in a few hours. She was right to use the power for the greater good but she was also in the wrong for not sharing this info with the people that devoted their lives to following her do agree that it might of had negative consequences but as you can see striping someone of the choice to follow something without knowing the full truth also has consequences similar to Cap when he found out about Shield and Hydra. As the saying goes trust is a two way street. You are right about different people different perspectives Wong is a good example of it going a different way although I believe he knew about it

I think this film really takes the series forward with both power levels, and opening up the future crises. I mean, Dr. Strange went 1v1 vs one of the most powerful things in and out of existence, and won. At the same time we're watching movies where Captain America needs help taking out three helicarriers, or Iron-Man has to deal with an unethical pharmaceutical company. One minor gripe I have is that they (Marvel) really played it safe with film's score. They could have leaned into the wild 1960s drug influence of the original character by going for some sort of Acid rock / Sitar type of stuff that people used to listen to back in the day. I also thought Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is a very interesting character. Ejiofor did an amazing job, aside from his two thirds Apu accent he used throughout. As an aside, he has kind of prolonged his career in Hollywood by winning roles that should be cast to South Asian male actors. He did this in The Martian when he got the role for the character Venkant Kapoor. That's weak. But that's on Hollywood. He's just benefiting form it.

In the original comics, Dormammu is all powerful, except his mystical realm is under constant assault by an army of The Mindless Ones. That seems to be what Kaecillius and his subordinates turn into at the end. But In the end, in comics, Dormammu is trapped. He has enough power to rule what he has and hold off the Mindless Ones. To conquer more he has to let go of something, just for a moment. Letting go even for an instant will destroy his realm, his slaves, his sources of power. He dare not. Thus his schemes for someone like a Sorcerer Supreme to take over while he conquers a multiverse...

I truly wish that I was aware of you real time and not 2 years later! Hopefully you will see this comment. Yes indeed the “Marvel comics “ were ALL interlaced! There was no telling who would show up in anyone’s comics! In fact once a year they put out an “annual “ comic, that had all the characters in it! Not only that, but if one character was fighting a battle they may enlist ideas from another character on how to beat them! For example, if Iron had a problem, he could ask Dr Strange to help. But Strange would be too busy with his own adventure (which would be known throughout the whole comics line) and offer advice instead. It was truly amazing and masterfully done. It also led you to buy every single one of their comic lines! In the mid 60s there were 13. I would buy 6 lines every month and a friend would buy 6, and we alternated on Dr Strange. There was a point where we had every comic from inception to current. ( which I’m sure now would be worth millions of dollars) but our mothers disposed of them when we went off to college! 😢😢😢😢😢
