it was the first marvel movie where the music was noticeable so I do hope they repeat some songs in the sequel to make a memorable theme.. my biggest complaint is that it could have been 15 minutes longer, seriously u have frikin hannibal lecter and give him a paint by the numbers marvel plot? it wasn't bad enough that they ruined eccolston? It's exactly why I wanted to see him on netflix instead, but atleast mordo might become the next loki level quality villain. I am secretly hoping though that thanos will bring back every mcu movie villain back from the dead with the gauntlet and maybe some of them will shine as secondary characters in infinity war :p

The only thing that really bugged me about the movie is that Dormammu was such a nothing villain in the film. A large spooky face doesn't do much for me, his original design is awesome.

Char Aznable that's because in the Dark dimension he has no true form. Which is why Benedict Cumberbatch did the motion work and voice work for him. His voice was mixed with an uncredited/unknown voice actor with a deeper voice. What's Benedict and Scott were going for was that Dormammu's form in the Dark would be that of whomever encounters him. So. He's just a harsher version of Strange...that's not to say that he won't look like his old fashion self if he comes out to play.

I loved this movie so much. When they announced that it was going to be a cross between Matrix and Inception visually, I lost my mind. Not knowing a whole lot about Strange didn't stop me from really enjoying it. I even think that this is one of my favorite movies ever. It just was such a great movie!

I thought it was awesome. Standard story that has enough in it to be fun and refreshing. I loved the performances. That scene with Cristine in Steven's apartment was crazy good. I have my issues with it (weak villain again but it hurts even more cuz it's Mads, how long was Strange training, etc.) but it's still really good. Surprised at how funny it was. And the first post credit scene!!! Let's gooooo!

Strange is very materialistic where as Tony is just not he is very care free more like what extremely rich teenagers are lol. Best thing about Rachel is that despite being the love interest Strange always went to her for help rather than the opposite you usually see.

that line about Roddy doesn't make sense because there's another line referring to Dr Strange in Cap 2 before Roddy's injury in Cap 3.

Its not about Roddy, its actually referring to Iron Man 2 in the courtroom scene, where you see the guy in the Hammer industries Iron Man suit get completely broken and his body turned around. This movie is taking place around Iron Man 2 and the first Avengers Movie

Side note, how long before they could include the 3D blueray version in like VR headsets. I don't but I think that would be a great idea to put those features a bit more mainstream unlike using just those 3D tvs. Also the longevity of 3D movies could last longer there

It definitely had the most satisfying conclusion, and most alluring world out of all MCU movies to me. Though GOTG, Winter Soldier, and Ant-Man are probably still my top 3. I'm actually quite happy with how they are treating these newly developed characters. With current Scarlet Witch, Vision, Bucky, Ant Man, Black Panther, now Strange, and not to mention the netflix-verse, I'm quite optimistic about the future of Marvel films without RDJ, ScarJo, or even Chris Evans, god bless his pure soul.

Preach, Greg!!! You have to shutp that shit down immediately. A similar thing occured in my screening. Everybody was sitting there quietly waiting for the last post-credits scene to start and when it finally began some punk started giving some quippy bullshit commentary to what was happening on screen. All it took was one loud "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" from me and that was it. No reason to be polite with people who clearly have no manners.

One of the best single movie intros in the MCU: Guardians, Strange and then Iron man. I know Ironman started it but it started the Weak (Forgettable) Villain motif of the MCU and that cannot be forgiven. It made Mads underserved :( but I digress. There has LITERALLY never been another movie that looks like this. Had my mind blown over and over again. The fight choreography was WAY better than it needed it to be and impress me which is hard to do has I hold up the Raid 2 as the best action movie ever.

I'm not defending the Stephen Strange/ Tony Stark similarities, but hubris is a personality flaw that is widely used in ancient mythology, so i'm not going to knock it for doing it; especially considering that RDJ can't be Iron Man forever and Cumberbatch will be a decent replacement.

Just saw it in IMAX 3D. It's definitely a spectacle flick. I agree with Nick. I think it's on par with Thor as far as plot. With humor and action it's on par with Iron Man. Definitely stands alone for visuals.

So I don't subscribe to ya'll mostly because I'm not into 90% of the content - I don't think it's bad quality, just not my thing - but I will look you up for EVERY superhero movie review. Hands down, I believe you guys may be established as the only "real" critics when it comes to these films. When you like something, you back it up smartly. When you don't, if it's a biased, you call yourselves out on it. The amount of critics saying things that amount to "It's not what I wanted/expected, therefore it wasn't good." about superhero films made me lose all respect for their reviews. It started with BvS and I saw it for this film (though it wasn't "It's not good." but more "it's okay." for this one). Anyway, yes. Loved it. Agreed with everything you said. SPOILERS: The time reverse fight. The time loop conclusion. The visuals. Freaking magic carpet from Aladdin. The characters. It was phenomenal. I wholly believe this is in my top 3 Marvel movies. My one complaint is in how Mads' character was finally defeated. After the amazing Dormammu sequence, Mads' villain just anticlimactically sizzles away. It would've worked with some strong comic relief but it was subpar. Still. One of Marvel's best. One of my new favorite marvel settings. Cannot wait for more.

Just watched it, there was someone on their phone 10 rows ahead so I couldn't tell them anything but the kids and their big brother next to me yelled at them. Problem was though, those same kids talked the whole movie so I told them to shut the fuck up which they did for a while, then continued, then they left 15 minutes before the movie even ended. Wtf..
