Also keep in mind that certain food sensitivities can trigger eczema as well. It was very frustrating for me for a long time because multiple things were triggering my eczema to the point that it felt like if I just existed I'd have eczema breakouts. With trial-and-error and the wisdom of my mom who first told me about the Elimination Diet, over time I realized that my emotional state (stress, lack of rest) together with eating too many starches, gluten sensitivity, chemicals like spraying Lysol (even if it didn't touch my skin my husband pointed out that inhaling it can be a trigger which was true), too many citrus fruits, and other things that I discovered one-by-one were cumulatively making my skin go crazy. Now I can have citrus but not every day, I clean with natural products instead of Lysol and I make sureto wear my cleaning gloves, I enjoy gluten food but only a couple days a week, and other things that have worked for me. I've always been good about drinking water so that was helpful and daily 2-4 cups of organic green tea has also been fantastic for building my immune system. I hope that helps.

This is what I did to calm my eye eczema down. Rinse my face with cool water. Pat dry with paper towel but leave skin damp. Use Cortisone 10 to break the itch cycle twice day and night. Use Laroche Posay Lipikar Baume AP+ day and night as well as moisturize as needed throughout the day. I usually use Cerave BUT it just wasn't moisturizing like I need. I also drank a lot more water and got plenty of rest at night.

Please tell/alert your patients, friends, family who have this concern and also on face in general to buy makeup that doesn't contain Silicone's. The majority of ALL makeup, cheap or high dollar use silicone, trimethicone and DIMETHICONE. Also these cause skin lesions and bumps which mimic Rosecea AND Demodex. I went through 7 months of at home, at dermatologist, PCP trial and error.... a couple thousand dollars of meds topicals etc only to discover I had almost over night developed an allergy to Silicone's, primarily DIMETHICONE. It is hard to find makeups, concealers and even very expensive face lotions/creams that don't contain it. Thanks so much for passing the word/warning on. 😊

Great video. Very informative and helpful. I'm using Vaseline to rid my eye rash that I got from a sleep eye covering made with a fabric that I believe I'm allergic to. I'm not applying anything to my eyes since I learned that petroleum jelly is the best thing to cure my dry, red skin around my eyes. I tried many good quality lotions, creams and moisturizers but they just made my rash even worse. The Vaseline started working to rid my skin redness and soreness immediately. Additionally, I'm placing a tissue between the sleep eye covering and my skin that I replace each night until I purchase a new sleep aid for my eyes. BTW, I like watching you in your videos. 😍🤩🥰
