Tennant was a fan of Davison but he actually started being a fan at the age of three in 1974 (Tom Baker would be the Doctor for the next seven years.) Also its because Steven Moffat (the writer) thinks Davison is the superior of the classic Doctors. Hopes this clears things up.

When multiple doctors meet, only the newest incarnation retains their memories, and only once they reach that moment. Only once 10 met 5 would his memory of the events from 5's perspective actually arrive. Basically a TV show cheat to allow a time travelers to meet younger versions of themselves and not ruin the timeline.
@somerandomguy20736 жыл бұрын
n8: Nope. They can't retain them at all and the memories never return. They experience the event again and so create new memories (that they can remember). This is the only instance of an incarnation remembering what happened from the previous incarnation's perspective. Davidson's Doctor aged because he was brought forward through time and it aged him at the same rate (temporarily) and it reverses when he snaps back to his timeline. Kinda cool explaination. Cloister bell is the alarm that rings when there is a threat to the Tardis but also to time and reality itself it's basically a doomsday warning bell. There is also a room in the Tardis that is a cloister style courtyard, it also doubles as the ZERO room for recovering from a rough regeneration. Davidson is Tennents' Doctor Who, when he was growing up. Loved this little mini-sode. 'Did you change the desktop' ha ha ha loved that line. Also this might also play into the 50th Anniversary special which featured the 4th Doctor. It could be that Doctor was brought forward (by the Timelords) to give a message of sorts to Matt Smith! ;)

I'm pretty sure the way the thing with the memory works is that the previous Doctor(or Doctors) can't remember what happened until they are the latest version of the Doctor experiencing it again, and they regain those memories as they happen in front of him. The tenth Doctor didn't remember this happening, his own mentions of the Master, or the way to fix the merge, until the merge happened.

A cloister is a covered walkway, usually around the sides of a quadrangle. They are commonly found in monasteries, nunneries, cathedrals and universities. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has one and there is a cloister room in the TARDIS. Because they are so prevalent in monasteries and nunneries, the word is used as a verb for people who live in such places, i.e; she lived her life cloistered like a nun. The cloister bell in the TARDIS rings when the time machine is in grave danger of being destroyed. It has been heard a few times in the revived series (Boom Town, Last of the Time Lords to name two) without being identified by name

if there's that much torchwood to catch up on you should have been watching Genisis of the Daleks. You could have even started with the Arc in space during Utopia and heard the fourth doctor use a similiar speech to what the tenth was making.
@TheTrainfan446 жыл бұрын
At this point if they watched Genisis they would know who is going to appear in series 4. So many people have told them to watch it that it is basically a spoiler now.
@Fanatic_Foremem6 жыл бұрын
thats why i would have had them start with arc in space, then Sontaran strategem and THEN Genisis of the Daleks. They would be expecting the characters to return, yes. But they'd probably expect the dead guy the least since so many other familiar elements would have already returned. As a second option, they could watch the firsts doctors Dalek invasion of earth, but my point is I would have prefered more classic who over them doubling up on torchwood so we don't get a proper doctor who reaction for half a month.
@robmartin5256 жыл бұрын
That trick has already been pulled, it won't work again. The Daleks are too much of a brand for them not to suspect other parts of the story. The character you are referring to has their own sufficient introduction in s4. Let it be.

If they can find a way to watch Genesis of the Daleks and/or an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures before the season 4 finale, I think they'd get a lot more out of it. Eric seemed really enthused because he recognized the Master and either or both of those would definitely help that happen again.

What I learnt from this is that Doctor Who fans are alot more accepting/forgiving then Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood fans.

Is there some combined playlist for the Doctor Who and Torchwood reactions to watch them in the right order? Trying to scroll back through the channel 7 years later to find the uploads, or comparing video upload dates directly, doesn't sound very fun.

did you ever do another Comic Relief Doctor Who, The Curse of Fatal Death, with Rowan Atkinson [amongst others] as the Doctor? It was also written b Steven Moffatt. Google can't find a reaction by Blind Wave, so I thought I'd ask
