Honestly this would to me (im not disabled) be insulting to disabled people. Its saying that if your disabled then you can't be the villain, you can't be a powerful force to be recond with. The guy in the wheelchair couldn't have done it because he's disabled. For me the bigger problem is their was a cannon reason for him being in the chair from the Genesis of the Daleks episode, his body had been damaged by radiation and chemical weapons and he was using science to survive. Its that kind of personal callousness that drives him. If anything he is a representation of what the horrors of war can do to a person

I feel like season 1 begins with Ncuti Gatwas episodes, on Disney +, the Tennant Specials are already being labeled 'Special 1 etc' not part of any season... Also, I kind get it. In the age of streaming most people have been trained to think they must start a new show at s1 e1, or they'll be lost. I feel restarting it with each new Doctor might be an idea, like the collection sets in the USA, cus DW I'll always find itself back in this problem...

For my redesign of Davros, he’d have a long black lab coat and long leather gloves, really emphasise his evil scientist archetype. Then I’d have him have a head-piece, like a crown or helmet that would both house his third eye and command the Dalek drones. Then I’d have him have a throne like Thanos that could hover around

I think the new season 1 makes sense seeing someone on Disney+ isn't going to be exactly attracted to starting a show on series 14.

Comparing how DC and Marvel are doing, maybe canon is not such a great thing. I used to love the way Doctor Who fitted together and would have all these continuity call back and that this character was the same character and so on, but now I think DC had it right, because Doctor Who keeps suffering from bad decisions that shut down possibilities. Whichever writer gets there first screws it up for future writers, because future writers have to suffer the consequences of decisions like The Timeless Child or Davros without a wheelchair or the Doctor is half human. DC on the other hand: Gotham has absolutely the best origin story for The Penguin ever and no one cares that it bears no resemblance nor fits in with the origin story in Batman Returns - but they completely screwed up Mr Freeze which was done much better in the animated series. That's a shame but nothing to get angry about. Joker - masterpiece, but can only be one because it doesn't have to fit with any variant of Batman before or after - it couldn't exist if it had to fit with Tim Burton's Batman. I don't even care about this multiverse nonsense; I don't need an explanation for how these stories can co-exist without connecting up - they are like retellings of myths - you don't expect myths to perfectly fit together. I don't think DC could ever make me angry, and I don't think that is just because I am not that big a fan but because nothing is consequential. The big controversies of Doctor Who like all the telemovie ones (e.g. half human, the kiss or the eye of harmony being in the TARDIS... or the nonsense that the Daleks would try The Master for war crimes! Really?), the Doctor becoming a woman, the timeless child, the constant destroying and bringing back of Gallifrey, the UNIT dating controversy in Mawdryn Undead - these only irk the fans not because they were bad stories (there are loads of them! And we rarely let it bother us for more than a week) but because they have ongoing impacts on future stories and kneecap future writers. It is canon itself that makes us so prone to anger because everything we see becomes part of the lore and it is as if someone has come along and broken your toys. Canon makes the story overinflated and unwieldy. Maybe it's time to say goodbye to canon.
