One thing that I’ve always loved about Donna and the Doctor is that it’s always been clear as day how much they love each other, but it’s never been a romantic love from either side, they’ve just always felt like they were meant to be in each other’s lives no matter what.

"How did we get so lucky?". You said it mate. Just this once...everbody lives :) A happy ending and a fresh start all in one. Perhaps 14 will show up again eventually to discover his 'new' origin and resolve the Timeless Child baggage he's carrying. Who knows, he could be from a different universe's Gallifrey. Perhaps he'll eventually be 'reconciled' with 15 and re-join that personal timeline. Or maybe he just goes on to become The Curator we met in the 50th Anniversary special. Either way, right now, I'm just happy for the freshness (and boldness) here and looking forward to Ncuti's 15th Doctor. The Actress, Ruth Madeley who plays Shirley does need the wheel chair. She has spina bifida, she can stand and move around a bit though so I bet she has heard a lot of what was said in the show.

I think they are going to announce a U.N.I.T. spinoff soon with Kate, Shirley, Donna and other companions and cameos of the fourteenth Doctor. Same style as Torchwood we might follow Donna on her first day and then get home to the family. That would be fun.

Davies has said (and there's no reason to doubt him) that 14 is "parked" and that there are no plans to involve him going forward. (Until the 70th or 75th I'd guess) I get the sense Tennant and Tate are a package deal so I wouldn't hold my breath for her appearing in any potential UNIT spinoff. And again Davies said the Master callback with the tooth is just an Easter egg and the Master (like the Daleks) need a rest.

I don't mind that at all. Sometimes you need to rest some characters otherwise they become meh. Chibs kinda had the right idea in his first season to try to create new characters but an entire series without ANY previous WHO characters was a move that didn't pay off in the end. In RTD we trust.

@@MrKakeJelly I think a legitimate way to refresh certain villains (Daleks, Cybemen, The Master etc) is to actually let them win every once in a while. The modern series likes two parters with a temporary victory for the bad guys in the first part cliffhanger, but go even further and let them complete at least part of their objective in the end. Part of Midnight's appeal was the fact The Doctor didn't beat the monster. Obviously you do this sparingly but it would keep the audience guessing.

Something that’s been playing on my mind after watching this episode was when 11 meet the Dreamlord in Amy’s choice was the similarities between him and the toymaker, I know that 11 said that the dreamlord was an extension of the worst part of himself (something along those lines) but what if he was an incarnation of the Toymaker? Hear me out 😂… the Dreamlords ability to manipulate his surroundings and make reality whatever he wanted it to be much like the Toymaker does, maybe I’m reaching but I like my theory 😂 Also my thought on who took the tooth containing the master it could’ve been Lucy Saxon

As soon as you said Capaldi was your favorite Doctor I paused the video to like and subscribe. Anyone with that much taste deserves a like and subscribe. Like you, I didn't want Capaldi to leave. I've enjoyed all the other Doctors, but Capaldi was something special IMHO. I get why he left. He did start older than any other actor to play the role regularly and Doctor Who is very physically intense. Anyway, I loved the episodes with Tennant during the 60th anniversary. I was so happy he got a happy ending. I'm looking forward to Ncuti Gatwa. He looks like he's going to be a blast!

Who needs a wheel chair? For years I knew a guy in a wheel chair who owned a comic shop. Didn't know why he was in a wheel chair and didn't feel comfortable asking. Over the years I saw him use his legs to move the wheel chair around while he was putting bagged comics in long boxes on a table. Later on I saw him stand up with his hands against the sides of a small cubical room in the shop. Finally heard the story when he was in conversation with another customer. Doctors had to remove a piece of his brain (don't know why - tumor maybe) and after the surgery he had no sense of balance.

The Toymaker will return, he can freely move through time. He could wait in the box until the Sun explodes, destroying the salt and opening the box. He could show up in the next episode if he really wanted to, but he's probably licking his wounds and avoiding him for now and who's to say that he didn't make a few pit stops on his way to 2023.

The regeneration was different because 14 challenged the toy maker to a game a second before he shot him with a laser and toy maker challenged the next doctor. So bound by the rules he got split. So maybe the start of the Valeyard?

But the Toymaker was shocked at the split so he didn't expect it, he expected a normal regeneration. So what is the actual science behind it all?

@@MrKakeJellythe doctor said that the rules of reality are altered due to the toymaker. My interpretation was that Ncuti was destined to be born much later but was brought forward. So he has all the personal development that Tennant still has to go through like if you grabbed a scene in an editing timeline and dragged it to earlier in the runtime My idea is that when the Tenant doctor ends one day from his point of view he will regenerate into the past and appear here. Granted RTD might say something completely different later on but that's how I've tried to resolve it mechanically in my head

I swear, nobody here is here for a non-swearing reaction. We get what we want: real emotions. Wachting it while eating a Cyberman cookie we made yesterday (one of my daughters travelled to London last year and I got Doctor Who cookie cutters). Donna ending up working for UNIT is great, fasted temp of Chiswick, just let her not drink coffee, it's got either alien partikels in it or she spills it. 44:10 Bless you. Donna en Rory are my favourite companions because they were never swooned by the Doctor and talked their mind. But as the toymaker wanted to make the Doctor (and Donna) sad of companions 'dying' I understand why he only showed Amy, otherwise Donna would immediately understand Amy wouldn't be alone, cause dying alone is the saddest thing, maybe that's why Donna said, when 14 was about to 'regenerate' , he was not going to die alone. ❤❤ First I was wondering, is it all the ginger people who were not effected by the Toymaker's transition? But I think I missed if there was an explaination for it, or just a coincidence. Never thought we get this heartwarming ending but you are right, it feels so good. Also, if he's reading this: CHARLIE!!!!! get on with it! (though schoolwork and friends always commes first, I'll give you that).

Do you know what, you're right about Donna and Rory. And that is also why I loved them. Never afraid to put The Doctor in his place when needed. Rory especially was top tier for it. Gosh I miss him!

He likes to put on musical numbers and instead of playing games, he subjects humanity to various tests to see how they react, for his entertainment of course. he's in the first episode of TNG and pops up pretty much everywhere throughout the series. I could imagine that the Toymaker could do the same. Show up with a music number and give the doctor a task/game that he must complete before a time limit.
