Did you notice that after Lee called him out on it, David was absolutely incapable of continuing with incorrect grammar? He had to rephrase it so that "who" was the grammatically correct word to use. The thing is, nobody from the North-East of England (my adopted homeland), thinks the “real” Bob Mortimer is weird. He’s just a nice lad from the Boro who’s become a national treasure. When he told the tale about walking from Crimdon Dene caravan park to Newcastle at midnight (to watch “Tommy” at the ABC) I instantly felt it was true. The little details were spot-on (totally accurate).

The man is 17 feet tall! No-one misses him; ever. I didn't even watch the whole episode, because it wasn't good, but I know who he played.
