I don't know which figures are compatible with the new heads but I like to think a gelth zombie could double for a pyramids or masque Sarah Jane as well as shada or full circle Romana 2s, I also wonder if the chest on a jabe figure is removable because they could resculpt it and use it for a Romana 1 white dress. I think a school reunion Sarah jane body could also be used for a 3rd doctor era Sarah in either her time warrior/ invasion of the dinosaurs look, a rough sontaran experiment look, or her stripy planet of the spiders look. I like the idea of a full circle Romana to go with the season 18 Tom, but I also like the idea of a shada Romana to go with the tardis set from 2019...

These have magnificent sculpts, and we’re being treated this year! This one looks great, but I’m more interested in getting the second doctor and Tardis and the daleks set. Great review!

My local B&M Bargains must have been a bit late getting these in. I was able to buy the Companions of the 4th Doctor set on Friday. Chuffed to bits with it. Especially with the Sarah Jane figure, it goes perfectly with my Genesis of the Daleks collectors set.

Have been waiting anxiously for your reviews BMM ever since I saw your Dalek set!!!! And finally, FINALLY someone opened the coat so we could really see Romana’s outfit and without the scarf! I wish all reviewers were as thoughtful and had the eye for detail that you do - but then again, I wouldnt have been waiting for your review!!! :-) Well done as always, love the poses with Tom and K9, and love how you state that although not 100% accurate to the screen, its not a problem, they look close enough and are fantastic! I’m sure some “fans” will beech and moan like always and claim they wish they wouldn’t have made them ifthey weren’t more accurate...to them I say kaflooey and get real, we have Sarah Jane and Romana I and II!!! I am over the moon (all of them) and cannot wait for this set and the multiples I shall get to make customs. Which then I hope will turn into even more sets of variants of these and other figures - I haven’t been this excited for Doctor Who Figures for a decade and feel almost like I’m reliving the good old days! And love it!!!!

this set is the definite winner of this year's offerings, and it's a really tight competition this year, so many incredible figures, but three new companions, with brand new headscuplts, they all look great, romana's costume works so well with that base figure, I'm just super stoked to get it.

When I heard rumours of a companions of a 4th doctor set part of me thought we’d get a Leela, K9 and a new Harry figure but this is much better.

They have already released a figure set 2 years ago which has leela and k9 so I don't think they would do a set with them 2 again

I’ve watched this several times as I wait impatiently to get my own! Some ideas for future variants (Maybe you can suggest them to Al?). :-) In no particular order: Power of Kroll Romana using the Silurian General body painted in earthy brown tones to match of course, very similar in design! Shada Romana (to go with Shada Tom TARDIS set!) Using Idris' body from the Doctor's Wife. Almost an exact match from the waist down, but creatively painting the top blouse area all white where Idris shows shows some skin and using regular hands to get rid of the odd webbing on Idris would,d be fantastic and beautiful Lalla Ward figure! I suppose Missy's hat would be too much to add. :-) I also really want a K9 MII, an easy repaint that's basically all grey (no black details around his monitor or bumpers, even the side monitor screen isthe same grey) with those two big back control panel buttons in that curious near neon pinkish orange color! A great 2 pack or for a hot seller 3 pack repaint Traken Tom in brown vest and brown pants using the hatted head for a Shada 3 pack from the opening punt scene!(well, K9 wasn't with them there but he's essential!). It'd be a shame to never get a Romana I in her white dress, if they could,d splurge for a new soft rubber dress and arms to replace the loin cloth on Leela's body the boots work, the legs and such are close enough. I've dreamed of Stones of Blood set for a decade, using the Helen Cutter body from Primeval cou,d be repainted close enough to Raman's initial outfit in Stones of Blood, though of course they need a skirted body for her 2nd outfit whichncou,d be used for a Full Circle Romana as well! And Pyramids of Mars Sarah is a frequent suggestion using Gelth Granny painted white which would complete that story's figure set! Most of the Sarah Jane Adv and school reunion body and even the hair from that Sarah on this classic head (heres hoping they sculpted them to match!) Could,d be repainted to approximate many of her classic outfits - the Kudlak/Destiny body repainted in light green is very close to her Terror of the Zygkns outfit for example, and removing the coat and using different arms of the 13th Doctor's body could,d give a passable base for her Andy Pandy Hand of Fear farewell outfit! Okay, Tolstoy length post apologies, these sets take me back to the halcyon days of when the Classics were at their peak, and we had 3 shows from the Whoniverse on telly going strong! Ahhh, the good ole days...sigh....

I'd be interested to see if they did any more villains, a whsiperman head could fit snuggly on a snowmen 11th doctor, a suitable suit body could be used for a daffodil man from terror of the autons, an axon man with new lower leg tooling could do a nice season 1 figure set for both a sensorite and a voord. A new wraparound on a brigadier would make a good kerblam man body for army building. I'd love to see Ben and polly from the tenth planet using a Mickey figure with a new pvc wraparound and a jo grant figure. Similarly a silurians Liz shaw that was apparently replaced by the repainted brig in this years unit set

While I agree Romana I is the weakest of the 3, I am still so incredibly excited and thankful kful to be getting these (if they ever make to the US and into my impatient hands of course!). Sarah Jane and Romana II are perfection IMO given the restrictions they had to work within, and even Romana I has grown significantly on me since the first shots ermerged. Seeing her here in 3D helps tremendously,y as I only think it's front on that does her figure a disservice - from the sides and even front angled she looks amazing! I do wonder if the originally intended figure of her in this set was always meant to be Pirate Planet as her hair sculpt is not from that story (I didn't realize that until I recently rewatched it after seeing these figures, LOL). In fact I'd almost think this is more her hair style from maybe Armageddon Factor? Anyone else see this or have any ideas on which story the sculpt matches? Again, I am absolutely thrilled these figures are coming, waiting is the only torture at this point, and the fact that apparent,y they will be pricey in the USA as I wanted to get multiple sets for customs!

Mary Tamm’s figure looks horrendous and nothing like her tbh. Sarah Jane personally I would have prefered probably her planet of evil or brain of morbius costumes I am glad we got that romana 2. Destiny and Nimon are the only 2 costumes i like that she wears tbh.
