I love Doctor Who: Confidential as a kid and I really glad that Russell is bringing it back for RTD2. The most likely reason why Confidential is changing it name to Unleashed is probably to attract a new audience.

Really hard to believe we lost Confidential, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures in one year 2011. And loosing Nick Courtney and Liz Sladen Irl, that was such a rough year... hopefully Confidential (in any name) returning will be a start towards getting back to those glory days...

I think, the reason why they're labeling this new version of Doctor Who: Confidential as Unleashed is to attract in younger viewers.

Absolutely loved Confidential when i was a kid. It's one of the reasons i studied Film and TV production at University. Seeing the behind the scenes from my favourite TV show. Just bieng in awe at how all these amazing creatures and planets were created. From script to screen. I was also lucky enough to sit in a lecture with Niel Gorton from Millennium FXs at uni too. So Confidential has had a huge impact on my life. So I'm excited as all hell to see it return in some form for the next generation of creatives and whovians alike!

Really good video. Enjoyed it. This is the first time in ages where I've felt properly excited for Doctor Who again. Its really felt like the show has been so diminished from where it used to be, not just in terms of the quality of the show itself, but the end of things like confidential, the reduction in the number of episodes per series, the move to Sunday evenings, and the end of the Christmas specials. I don't know if others feel the same, but these new years specials just don't hit the same. The Xmas theme is missed, and also I know so many people for whom Who was a staple of their Christmas day viewing. I know not everyone will feel like me, but those things alone have just left the show feeling lesser than it was. I so hope it can regain at least some of that. I'm hyped for the specials with Tennant, and then can't wait to see Ncuti as the Doctor. I think he'll be great. I can't lie either, I'll be glad just to see the end of this era. I was supportive of Jody when she got the role. Aside from anything else, she's from my home town so was kinda rooting for the local girl and stuff, but for whatever reason she's never seemed right in the role. I kept telling myself it was just the writing, but now we're at the end, I don't know. I think she was miscast really, as much as that saddens me. It didn't help having so many companions, no one had chance really to stand out. Anyway, sorry, no point me lamenting my disappointment with this last era, I'm all in with the hype for all that's to come. The BBC used to make so much good stuff that I could never see them doing nowadays. All the shows I grew up watching as a kid, like Red Dwarf, Blackadder and Only Fools and Horses. They don't make shows in that mould anymore, and just seem out of touch in general. I appreciate that we're in a different world now with less people watching terrestrial TV, but still, I'm sure they could've handled things better over the years. I hope they support Doctor Who properly and we can get the show back as it used to be. I know some say they don't care about viewing figures and whatnot, but I care in as much as there will come a point where they cancel it again if it underperforms to a certain extent. I really don't want that.

I remember they tried a similar thing with Doctor Who Extra for Series 8/9 but it didn't really feel the same. Really glad to have something similar to the original back. Hopefully the episodes are good enough that I want to watch the confidential afterwards.

i was too young for confidential, but it seems great based on what i hear, i can't wait to experience it, for a short while in Australia we had whovians, which was a bunch of aussie comedians who like doctor who talking about the episode that just came out, they watch it the same time as us live, with an audience, then they discuss it and make theories

I never got into Confidential myself back in the day, but it clearly meant a lot to a large section of the fandom, and was great publicity for the show - something that has been sorely lacking for years now...

In America, on the Google playstore they are preparing to release all of them as a collection. I never saw DW:C but I remember during the 12th Doctor time on KZbin the official DW channel had DOCTOR WHO: THE FAN SHOW where they'd discuss what occurred during the episode and what they hoped happened next. I still see it has it's own channel for it and think some videos are still on the DW channel as well. But I always love official BTS videos interviews, and extras.
@joevictor532 жыл бұрын
Confidential was amazing. You got to see the behind the scenes stuff and the actors goofing around. There's a lot of good clips on KZbin

I hope so. The Behind the Lens and other behimd the scenes extras just aren't the same. They're too professionally put together, sit down intveviews and that. The candid interviews and just random things is what made confidential so great. Hoping the name change is just thay as to me Confidential is how we know it's not just other behind the scenes type material.

I'm guessing they're changing the name because they're probably changing the format they're doing Confidential, maybe its shorter and only online, who knows. And its easier to explain why Confidential only went to season 5 and then stoped until season 14.

I had no idea why lots of people were so dismissive on the Tharries livestream. Personally, I don't want major plot news, I want to know as little as possible about the story, I want stuff like this! Although, why was Confidential called that in the first place? Always seemed like an odd name to me.
Me I believe most of the bad bad wolf 3 from Reddit I just don’t believe the Jodie regeneration part of it cause it does undermine Jodie and Ncuti it’s say in my opinion that the show needs David for nostalgia bait to get ratings with the doctor who Confidentials they were not a big of a deal cause we didn’t get them on tv they are just a dvd extra we did get behind the scenes stuff during the episodes as they aired but not a whole show devoted to the behind the scenes stuff in America
