@@plantainsame2049 It wouldn't have to do any of that at all. That's just presumption on your part. The same exact arguments were leveled against bringing it back in the 90s, and again in the early 2000s. "Nobody knows what Doctor Who is anymore! All the fans are old now. It's just some forgotten show from the 80s!" Yeah. People make that assumption all the time. You could very easily write an 8 part miniseries following Paul McGann's doctor. The first two episodes would act to fill the audience in on who what where when and why, and from there you'd have six stories to explore the start of, and follow through of the Time War.

This is a really good intro. Most fan intros I've seen just do the generic "TARDIS floats around and then title appears" thing, but this actually did something fresh. The simple color scheme, combined with the use of abstract backgrounds, made for a calm yet foreboding atmosphere. Your use of familiar imagery was pretty great too. The symmetry in your shot composition, like with the TARDIS and the Dalek, was excellent. None of it felt overwhelming or in your face. I also love the way you remixed the music. The older elements aren't just there for the sake of it. They're arranged to fit the tone of the intro. They add that older quality without feeling tacked on or plainly overlayed. Honestly, this might be one of my favorite Doctor Who intros just for how creative it is.

I can agree that they needa get their act together but I don't think wokeness is a problem with DW, it's always been like that and sure open commies have written for the classic show back in the day. It's just Chibbers is all about ham fisted exposition. Like it tells yiu how to feel but doesn't give you a reason to, souless is the word I'd use. The fucked the Doc over so bad, Jodie's such a cla actor but she has nothing to work with. I wish they went in the direction of a stern Mother or something and it's really insulting to the audience to give us bland as fuck characters (barr Ryan and Graham). It's a shame cause he wrote Boardchurch and thats unreal.

One of the most imaginative titles i've seen in a while. The match cut between Gallifrey and the Sun is genius. And the Tardis take off shot is perfection and is extremely memorable. The shot of the sand dunes with the citadel in the distance is also extremely well done and feels really alien and otherworldly. The shots of the doctor are beautiful and can connote him being a traveller in time and space. The second shot can also represent the doctor turning his back on the universe with his face obscured by shadow representing his un-doctor-like behaviour during this period. The shot with Gallifrey in the Daleks eyestalk can represent the ambition to take Gallifrey. The vortex shot brilliantly done and really well suits the the tone of the titles and the time war. The colour closely resembles that of the 7b intro, perhaps being a call back to Night of the Doctor. My only criticism is the doctor shot is too similar to your previous sequences but overall its a really imaginative and creative titles, with a brilliant atmospheric tone. Also damn I predicted wrong!

If this was a series, it would need an intro like this. It's a different kind of Doctor Who. You'll still get adventure, sure. But the tone is very much set to have some darker moments. It's almost a western style. The law is running out, that sort of thing. The creativity and beauty of this is I want it more than ever now. I wish they'd give Paul one series. Just one at minimum. Why export new doctors when we have a chance to really explore one of the most underrated doctors? In a word, this piece is Perfection.

A huge contrast to this Doctor's initial theme in the TV movie/pilot, which was heavily orchestrated and pretty bombastic. It's a nice reflection of how this Doctor starts with a life of adventure but ends slogged down in the worst war imaginable. I especially the like the guitar part at the start which hints at the full phrase, but cuts it short... a piece of this Doctor's life is missing at this point, and (for me) this version of the theme hints that he's lost parts of himself. Paul McGann and the TV movie was my first introduction to the Doctor, so I always have a soft spot for this iteration.

A magnificent piece of content creation. Though, honestly, I'm not convinced the whole time war was purely between the Daleks and Gallifrey. The 10th Doctor made mention of "The Nightmare Child" and assorted horrors, so where did they fit in? Nevertheless, love this and watch it often.

The BBC Logo at the start and the previously cryptic description made me think this was for something official and McGann was actually getting another story 😭

Could keep this intro hand have the midseason finale be Night of The Doctor (Extended). Then have the second half be a Actor playing a Younger War Doctor, proceeding and eventually aging into The War Doctor we see in Day of The Doctor (have his major aging be a sequence at the end, maybe flash-forwards with flashes of Day of The Doctor representing The Doctor's vague jumbled memory of the event, and waking up as The Ninth Doctor, thinking that the did use The Moment as the ending)

It would be great if the BBC did mini series like this between seasons of the main show with Paul, David, Matt, Peter and even David Bradley or Jo Martin.

FYI if you did a intro like this for David’s First Doctor or Jo’s Fugitive Doctor that would be awesome.

Can I use a fragment of this on my Doctor Who RPG game, please? I always give credit and I make no money out of it. Well, just a few cents. Or if I can pay you in any way (inside my limited budget) please just tell me.
