Jenna Coleman, the actress who played Oswin, makes this a 10 episode for me. Love anything she does. I believe the logic with Amy giving Rory up is she knew he would give up having kids to stay with her and she didn't want him to sacrifice his desire for her.

The Doctor has fixed a great many problems in his life, but the way he manipulates the situation to force Amy and Rory to hash out their problems and rediscover their love for each other was absolutely masterful. And him fixing his bowtie infront of the camera where Amy could see him showing that yes she does know him well (as shown earlier when she was commentating on him to Rory) but he will ALWAYS know her better........chefs kiss

Happy Birthday Nicole! Love the present. I'd consider hanging it from the shelf but Luna would still play with it as a bauble. The Dalek whose shoulder we are looking over is Goldie - one of four fan built Daleks on loan from event company Hire A Dalek. Four 2K props for £400 is not a bad deal , fee was donated to Children in Need by the owner. Some Daleks have been cast by licensor This Planet Earth. All of the red New Paradigm are in metallic paint to remove the plastic look. That planet is a mountain in Sierra Nevada national park, Almeria, Spain. Coincidentally, the cover painter for the new Target Doctor Who books painted some in the next town over. There are two Bronze Daleks from a precious BBC exhibition at Alexandra Palace, one nearest Rory's entrance. That spinning Dalek isn't in there because it thinks it is a ballerina, it's there because it WANTS TO BE a ballerina. There are two 1960s style Daleks, both props of the Panopticon fan conventions in the 1990s. Their owners ran the Doctor Who experience in Cardiff at the time. Showrunner Russel T Davies Dalek is in here somewhere. There is uniquely single story colored Dalek now so caked in dust we can't see it. The exploding Dalek was actually a sacrifice- the engineer had no time to make a new prop & modify it to explode so he cut up his personal cast of the original 2005 Dalek. Aridius, Kembel, Vulcan, Spiridon & Exillon are from First through Third Doctor serials. Clearly meant to be Classic designs but they use the bronze. Maybe useful Daleks got upgraded by the nanogenes. The eyestalk shot of the door is a reshoot of the first Dalek Cliffhanger. The second appearance of the Special Weapons Dalek prop after its Seventh Doctor Adventure in 1988. They wanted a Howitzer but a Dalek was easier back then. It's mute & there's no operator due to no seat.

@@nicologikreacts Bin seit Ende voriger Woche mit der 10.Staffel durch. Jetzt werde ich zwei Monate Dr. Who pausieren, danach geht´s mit Staffel 11 - 13 weiter.. Momentan schaue ich Legends of Tomorrow mit Arthur Darvill als "Leading actor". Wünsche dir noch eine schöne Zeit und viel Spaß und Spannung mit Dr. Who. My dearest twin brother also chose not the have kids and I think it's fantastic when people dare make that decision. But as you also said, when you don't choose for that but nature doesn't help you, it can weigh on a life/relationship and I liked how this was adressed in the episode. Furthermore, I liked Soufle-girl and what they did with her in the story. So not just a Dalek story for me, but a good concept, I thought. Sowie herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag!!!

Hanna: Well, he's got a point. (Muttering to herself after Amy slaps Rory for trying to explain himself to her that he loves her more than she loves him when he mentions his 2,000 years of waiting. Then minutes later...) Amy: I didn't kick you out... I gave you up. Hanna: *BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!* 🤬🤬🤬🤬 (Amy and Rory instantly paused their argument and whirl around to look at Hanna.) Rory: Hanna?? Hanna: THAT IS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT! Of course he loves you more! He waited 2,000 years outside a box for you! And... (She marches forward towards them and stands in between them. She looks at Hanna in surprise. Hanna immediately unpins her as she continues with a snarl) Hanna: He was awake and conscious the ENTIRE TIME. But for you, it was passed in a blink of an eye! He has loved you UNCONDITIONALLY, pretty much for as long as you can remember him! But all you have EVER done to him was treat him like a *slave* AND a *spare part!* You were marry him, and yet, on your wedding night, you never *EVER* not even one single moment had told him you loved him! Nor that you had shown ANY one single ounce of compassion or mercy towards him either!!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡 You were not capable of waiting for *40 years* for him and yes, I know that you were aging but SO WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! Amy doesn't say anything as she is in total shock about everything Hanna berated and confronted her about and even exposing her for her *true intentions.* Hanna walks forward to her and says some final words to her. She says them in a low, stern, voice) Hanna: It needed to be said. And you *needed* to hear it. (Amy looks at her, still silent. Hanna gives her one last "death-glare" before turning away from the both of them. Amy and Rory both watch her walk to the far side of the teleport pad with her face buried in her hands) The end.

This episode worked really well for me despite me generally not liking dalek episodes (similar to you). The daleks were finally used in an interesting way, and the twist with that girl being a dalek was great. My only gripe with the episode was the Amy-Rory plotline, which fell a bit flat for me.

Bonjour Nicologik, merci beaucoup pour ta réaction. 🙂 Le Docteur de Matt Smith, Amy et Rory sont géniaux dans la série et on remarque également qu'ils ont énormément évolué depuis le début de la saison 5. J'apprécie également que dans cet épisode, nous revoyons les Daleks 🙂car la saison dernière, nous les avons pas vraiment vus à l'action à part un petit caméo dans l'épisode du mariage de River Song. Les pantins Daleks sont également un concept intéressant et j'apprécie aussi le fait que nous voyons différentes sorte de Daleks dans cet épisode à savoir les daleks en bronze mais aussi le dalek paradigme et le dalek premier ministre. 😍 J'adore Oswin, elle est intelligente, drôle, puissante et hors du commun. 🥰🥰L'épisode était émouvant et je suis triste que Oswin ait du se sacrifier pour sauver le Docteur. 😭Comment trouves-tu le jeu de rôle de l'actrice qui joue Oswin et qu'as-tu pensé de son personnage ? J'ai trouvé des mini-épisodes de Doctor Who que tu n'as pas encore vus de la saison précédente et des mini-épisodes qui ont lieu avant le début de la saison 7. Il y a le minisode "good night" et "bad night" pour la saison 6. Pour la saison 7, il y a le "préquel to the Doctor, the widow and the wardrobe" mais aussi "good as gold" et enfin "le préquel to asylum of the Daleks". Bon visionnage pour la suite et à la semaine prochaine. 🙂😉😉 Bisous. 😘

The BBC are under contract to have at least one Dalek episode every season so they can still use them, so the writing can get a bit iffy as there's not a lot of time for "clever" stories with them, and we kinda get a bit sick of seeing them all the time, it never use to be like that in "classic" Who, so we were always happy to see them return because of the time gap between appearances.

It's a personal annoyance of mine when, in order to show a character is 'cool' they break the fourth wall. I dislike the idea that this shows they know they're in a TV show or film. It's been done to death by now too!

Great video. The big mystery of the season is actually Oswin. The question, and who's asking it, is one of the biggest moments in the show's history. Second only to the 50th anniversary special, the Day of the Doctor.

So Amy spilts up with Rory because she can't have children?... Even though she HAS a child in the last series!! And keep in mind she doesn't say in this story that she can't have 'ANYMORE' children she says she can't have children, singular, like she never had melody, so the script is really off in this one making seem like melody never happened, and its weird Rory doesn't acknowledge this either. Again why go all through the fuss of river being their daughter and they never mention or reference her when she's not there... Almost like that story in the last season was bad or something.... And this story, moffat break up Amy and Rory just to put them back together again? What was the point? It was at this time I got really bored of these companion's, they should have left at the end of season 6 in my opinion, clearly moffat was struggling to find a role for them in this season with stories like this...

They don’t have kids because River got stolen. They’ve lost her now. They’ll never have a baby She specifically says whatever they did to me at demons run. So she can’t have anymore kids since then. The script didn’t have to tell you this as it’s common sense. We know she’s had one child, she clearly means she can’t have any more children. Like Rory always wanted. I don’t see the problem at all. They’re never getting their baby back and Amy can’t have anymore. So she lets Rory go for his own sake

@@obiwankenobi687 But River is their kid? Whatever her age she's still their child, it may be common sense but for new time viewer's its very confusing. Also not acknowledging they have a daughter and a child already regardless of age is very strange, it does come across like melody never happened. It would have made far more sense if she said ' I can't have ANYMORE kids' then she would at least acknowledge she already had one, feel like script ignores this. And Rory should have responded by at least comforting Amy acknowledging their daughter they already have. And just because they had their baby kidnapped doesn't mean they never had one because obviously they did. Don't know, just weird to me, feel like moffat gets bored of previous storylines and wants to move on and doesn't really care, which has happened before with the tardis blowing up and the rubbish reveal of the robot doctor in the finale

@@phantomsidious2934they never got to raise a child though. Even though they do have a daughter, they didn’t have the experience of being parents to a kid. We’ve fully acknowledged River is their child - what they’re talking about is having a baby in the sense of raising a baby to adulthood, and they never did have that.

Their out of nowhere best friend? She says before she regenerates 'you did get to raise me after all'... Not as baby, but its sort of covered in that episode, not well of course its bad, but it was said

@@phantomsidious2934 Amy says she can't have kids since what they did to her at Demon's Run. Nicologik even includes that clip in her review. It's sad they didn't bring up a baby, but they did grow up with Mels, not as their child but their friend.
