This is the only piece of music I cry to in the whole universe, even the medusa cascade can't stop me and do you know why? Because this marks the end of the best era of Doctor Who ever. The era I grew up with. The era I fell in love with and the era that I connected with. This would end up to be the only time I connect with this programme on this deep level. Thank you David, thank you Billie and Thank you Murray for the enrichment you have brought to my life. Without anyone of you. I'm just the doctor without a rose. I love Rose's Theme. It's so beautiful and fits the character so well. Right now I'm rewatching Series 1 and 2 of Doctor Who, mostly because of her. I loved Rose because she was so brave, intelligent, had a sense o fun. She was real, someone like you and me, and her relationship with the Doctor (both Doctors) was amazing. It doesn't matter if you liked the romance or not, one thing was undeniable: the Doctor and Rose were the perfect duo and I miss them every single day.

Being someone who grew up with 11 I found it so hard most of my life to actually let myself try to watch 9 and 10’s era. Scared it wouldn’t have the same effect 11 did on me growing up. But man was I wrong. Not only did I fall in love with David Tennant, I just felt the raw magic of those seasons. Rose especially. I always thought Amy would be my favourite companion. But with a theme like this, Rose isn’t just brilliant, she’s also fantastic.

This music makes my emotions well into a pile of happy nostalgia and sadness. Doctor who is connected to and runs along side my childhood and this theme always brings back memories of those wonderful times and of the feeling of naivety as a child. This is a feeling that we can only wish we could have cherished at the time, however those times are long gone.

@ianhalen1000 - nah... It sounds weird if one has heard the theme too many times in other versions (like me), but 1) It works OK musically, 2) the orchestrations always change between episodes, soundtracks, concert and proms in all kinds of ways - another big change at 1:20 -, and 3) she'd have to reach an octave - 8 white keys - out of range of the note that's usually played in order to hit that one. Not something that happens by accident. ;-)
