She thought that 11 was the last incarnation of the doctor because of the trenzalore episode in season 7 but obviously time was rewritten because the time lords returned and gave him another life so from her perspective she thought it was the last time they were

NO SPOILER for you to clear things about River's story so far : River and The Doctor have different timelines. For her, this kiss was the last, but the first for the Doctor. She already said it a million times : they never meet in the right order (i'm quoting her there). You already know how it end : she goes to the library where the Doctor (Ten) meets her for the first time and this is her last time... and she dies saving him (as she says in the previous episode to Rory about her greatest fear "He won't have any idea of who I am... and I believe that's going to kill me" little did she know... somehow it did). That's why it is SUPER SAD because everyone knows how it ends already.

Idk if you noticed, but when River tells Rory she's an archeologist she has her back turned to the Silence, she doesn't see it so she doesn't remember it, and yet she killed it while looking at Rory

This is the series that had me saying "What the fuck is going on?!" more and more as the series went on. The mystery of the Silence and Amy is just so compelling. You can argue it wasn't all that well done, as some people have, but the fact you want to know the answers shows it's doing what it set out to do.

Incidentally, just for an FYI, it's the Silents, not Silence. A single one is a Silent. Multiple are Silents. 😁 River is upset at the end because their timelines are reversed. Since it's the first time they've kissed for The Doctor, it means it's the last time they've kissed, for her. Remember, they've not kissed at all any of the other times we've seen her.
