Is it just me or does anyone else get the impression that Murray Gold isn't a fan of the original bassline? It's like he does his best to ruin it at every possible opportunity.

He used it a bit in the original revival tenure but in 2014, buggered it. Doesn't seem to have ruined it this time round, just has a bass layer added to it.

He’s said in interviews that he doesn’t like the triplets in the bassline (seemingly because he’s embarrassed by the Garry Glitter/KLF connection?)

Ohmigawd!!! Why isn’t this the actual music and titles??? This is so amazing, it has a sort of slightly spooky/whimsical/fantasy element that is completely missing in the official sequence and that very opening graphic with the electric /artron energy sparking in the TARDIS lamp - is that present in the “official titles”? A+++!!! love this!!! 😅😊❤

why thank you! :D More to come later as I continue to refine and add to the mix :D Opening lamp section, no it's not in the titles as it was cut - so it was added back in. As well, the logo was from the pre-vis logo section which was 3D but they didn't do 3D in the final version I think due to deadlines or something.

I love it. Far superior to the real one. Everything is so much clearer, better defined, and you've added your own special kiss to the main melody. It sounds much more ethereal and on point. I wish I could replace the existing episode titles with this.

Yes, it is but was cut from the sequence, there's some BTS about the titles, so added it back in + used the pre-vis 3D logo section.
