Some say that's where it all began, when he was a child. That's when the Master saw eternity. As a novice, he was taken for initiation. He stood in front of the Untempered Schism. It's a gap in the fabric of reality through which could be seen the whole of the vortex. We stand there, eight years old, staring at the raw power of time and space, just a child. Some would be inspired. Some would run away. And some would go mad.

My people are dead, they perished in the fires of war; the biggest war ever. I belong to a people known as the Time Lords, the most ancient and powerful of all the races. The ancestors of my people, the Pythians, had already mastered the art of space travel by the time the earth had begun its formation. The old Pythian theocracy; which ruled Gallifrey for nigh on a billion years, it was overthrown by Rassilon and his cult of engineers and genetic scientists who claimed to have found the secret to eternal life. Across the millennia, Rassilon and his Lords of Knowledge as they were then called, governed the Pythian tribes and their diaspora throughout the galaxy, in accordance with not the ideals of the old religion, but of science and learning. At the end of the ten millionth year of the Rassilon Epoch, the High Council finally declared that the secret to eternal life had been achieved. A system of forced sterilisation and social engineering would be enforced, until the High Council had bred the Pythian to a point of what they deemed purity; that the Day of Ascension could take place. Each and every child of the Pythian Nobility would undergo a process of genetic modification, which would radically transform their DNA. These children would grow second hearts, and other features unseen in humanoids. Rassilon deemed that these high born Pythians, these Children of Gallifrey had become, in light of recent advancements in Time Travel technology, had become the Lords of Time.

@@dj24617 Except it's Tennant's theme, not Matt's, and definitely still fits Tennant better as it's way too dark in places to be Matt's, and the beat is too regular. Matt is more bubbly and spontaneous, even for the Doctor, and that's why his theme is in 7/11 and not 4/4.

Jodie Whittaker is not a Feminist icon, you misogynistic nutjob. Being a woman does not make someone a Feminist. I would argue that the Doctor has always been a staunch Feminist, up until the Whittaker era. Of course, Chibnall is not a Feminist, but he knows the Doctor is supposed to be a Feminist, so he tries to make the Doctor a Feminist, but because Chinballs isn't one, it just comes off as surface-level bullshit and pandering to an audience that disagrees with Chinballs. When RTD returns, the Doctor will be a Feminist again. Have you forgotten just how political RTD is? How incredibly Feminist, as well as how supporting all other forms of equality (except for occasionally slipping up on class equality here and there) his era was? How progressive Doctor Who has been for decades? Sure, some of the older stuff is rather conservative and outdated nowadays, but for the time, the show was very progressive. Woman =/= Feminism If you want more proof of that, just look at Thatcher. Her time as PM was one of the most backwards, destructive, and conservative times in the history of the UK! Hardly Feminist.

@@elise205 yes but they are putting a lot more empathis on feminism than they normally do in the show. they Dont try to bold out feminism as A large common theme on the show but accept it as a thing that exists with all other things. there are moments in Doctor who where there is feminist representation and because of the way they did it without ruining the whole theme of the show made them good and actually added to it rather than subtract im not saying that the doctor cant be a female. but what they are doing in these later seasons looks like pandering to me. they are putting in a lot of things about race and acceptance and are making them a lot more common and present then they originally were. for goodness sake doctor who is about a madperson in a box travelling across time and space running from weird Aliens with companions by his side. the Doctor although a male he has never really been interested in things like sexuality much (except for river of course although i doubt he has had a lot of intercourse with her). the doctor does not discriminate and he does not really seem to care about gender a lot. hes perfectly fine with you being any gender but hes not gonna talk about it like its some amazing thing all the time. if you want to do female power right don't have the character say female power because it just feels like the character is just saying it so that companies do not look sexist. strong well written female characters are strong because they are that strong. let the female doctor do what she has always done as the other doctors you don't need to add more. she's an ok actor she's just been given a script that's meant to attract and pander to female audiences
